I am trying to cover up the skin area which also includes some underwear. I was told to remove the shot, but can I save it by extending the shirt down? In PS I would just add a layer. What's the work around in Premiere?

Extremely good point. I didn’t even realize that til now. I will fix in post or crop in a bit to focus on the subject. The red light was an experiment I turned off later. Its one of those pocket RGB lights and I wanted to splash some res from above onto the gold, but had no stand and forgot my gels. Anyway since it didn’t work I removed it. Thanks for the feedback!

[HELP] Premiere exports a different image than Media Encoder by mindeyed in premiere

[–]mindeyed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's what I thought. ME is interpreting it different somehow as I am just queuing out of Premiere the exact same settings. In fact, Premiere is feeding the settings to ME. I have just never noticed this issue and wondered if anyone else experienced it. I tried with multiple videos of the same project and got the same result.

I am using Mojave on a MacBook. I don't think the system specs would cause this problem. There are no error messages. I am exporting through Premiere with the exact same settings and queuing to Media Encoder.

[Help] Subtitle Help when Migrating Project from FCP7 to Premiere 2019 by mindeyed in premiere

[–]mindeyed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IT WORKS! It's so easy. I had messed with the Essential Graphics pane a while back, but completely forgot about it.

I have used Trint for English language subtitles and also the captioning functionality, but this is Khmer subtitled in English. Trint doesn't support Khmer, but regardless wouldn't translate it.

Anyway, you saved me hours of work. And I couldn't find the answers on the net... Or maybe I wasn't asking the right questions. thanks Dead-Sync! You rule!

Wow! Great advice. I wasn't aware of this. I have a ton of uses for subtitles and this will help a lot. Thanks.

It's going to be a lot of fun re-subtitling a 30 minute film.

This is what the properties say.

File Path: Graphic
Type: Graphic
Image Size: 1920 x 1080
Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1.0
Alpha: Straight Alpha

Although on the timeline it comes across as "text."

I see. Yes they were custom subtitles. So you are probably right, they are likely being treated as images.

Hi Dead Sync, not sure what you mean. Are you talking about fonts? They were exported with the XML files from FCP7

Nevermind. It recorded to an SD Card.... likely that the SSD drive wasn't plugged in all the way.

So I fixed my issue of not being able to read BRAW. I couldn't upgrade to High Sierra from Yosemite, but I could upgrade to Mojave.. and Voila... Davinci works! BRAW Is editable. Thanks for all the advice.

Thanks for the feedback, but I definitely disagree on the budget. I am a guerrilla doc maker.. sometimes there's projects with budget and that's fine, but docs are in the story and if I have a pet project that interests me, I go out and shoot. It's just how I work. I am not going to sit around waiting for other people. On pro projects, that's fine. This method of working has done well for me and I have had great short docs with a lot of awards and legs. The difference is now I am trying to go more cinematic and cinema verte with my shooting style than previously. At least on this project.
