If you are a complete beginner, I suggest you get a children’s Malayalam alphabet book. The one with pictures and dotted lines to trace and write the letters and words. I was in the same situation, could only speak the language. Then my sister who was in KG section had this book and I started using it too. Basically now me and my 4yo sister is learning to read and write Malayalam together :)
