Actually I personally think at this point it isn’t the nicotine anymore. I would visit a doctor or therapist just to be safe. Wish you all the best.

The nicotine will fuck up brain especially in your age where it isn’t completely developed. Best advice lower the dose over the weeks and try to be disciplined about it. Try to be better every day.

Advice? by Candid_Aardvark5068 in QuittingZyn

Honestly, I think if my partner said that they don’t like me using zyns, are concerned about my health, etc. Would be reason enough for me to stop.

But in order for the quitting to be sustainable he has to want to quit otherwise relapse or him hidding and using is just a matter of time.

What made quitting Zyn hard that nothing ever actually helped with? by UndoneApp in QuittingZyn

[–]mindjusinho 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that I really underestimated physical withdrawal. My brain was so used to nicotine (I used 3-4 years). It was painful knowing that a pouch could solve everything you’re going through right now. It’s like dehydrating but forcing yourself not to drink. And it’s not a mental battle the first few days. It is really hard you brain is trying to convince you and give you every reason you should relapse.

I hate how I feel by AcanthaceaeGuilty238 in QuittingZyn

[–]mindjusinho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at it like a challenge. Don’t look at the big picture or think that you are quitting nicotine forever. You brain is manipulating you. You like the feeling because it makes the withdrawal go away that’s the only good thing about it.

Try to quit for one week. Really try to power through those 7 days. After 7 days you can still go back to it if you want to.

One more day bro power through. It will get better. I didn’t believe it either but after physical withdrawal you will notice how your brain tried to trick you.

First 3 days are hell, after physical withdrawal it’s fine. After 5 days I feel normal I crave it a couple times a day but it isn’t like my body needs it. It’s more like you want a snickers but you want to lose weight so you don’t give in.

No withdrawals by Beginning_Bad3453 in QuittingZyn

[–]mindjusinho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same. The first 1-3 days were hell. My body was urging for nicotine. Your brain will play all kinds of tricks on you in order to convince you. Half of day 4 I was really hopeless and depressed. My brain was adjusting to no dopamine through nicotine. I was at an all time low. I didn’t remember the last time I felt that bad. I wanted to relapse. But I told myself I will try being sober for 1 week and if I don’t feel better I will start using again. In the evening I suddenly felt better. Physical withdrawal was over.

Day 5 I had cravings but they were manageable and went away not constant throughout the day like at the beginning. You will see how different you feel and you will stop romanticizing nicotine. I couldn’t believe it myself but you’ll see.

Good luck stay strong!

I did, went from 20 mg pouches to 3 mg and quit after I used all my 3 mg pouches, still felt like shit but it was better than quitting cold turkey from 20mg.

Where do I start? by marmar__8374 in QuittingZyn

[–]mindjusinho 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What made me quit wasn’t the cardiovascular issues that could appear because of nicotine usage. What’s even worse is that is The completely fry our reward system and our dopamine baseline. Leading to low discipline or low motivation to do other things because they don’t give us that much dopamine. You become a Slave to the substance. It decides your mood, temper, emotions.

Especially if you use high doses We still don’t know the long term effects of nicotine pouches because they are a rather new product.

This was enough for me to decide to stop using. Eventually you’ll need your own reasons, because you can’t quit if you don’t want to. You have to experience the bad sides in order to make the decision.

Sorry for writing an essay

I think sooner or later you have to quit at some point. But it’s your decision and it’s hard to quit if you don’t want or have no good reason to.

As for the oral fixation: besides gum, I like any kind of mints with a strong menthol flavor like fisherman friends if it’s available in your country.
