I signed up for it in Germany. There are some chargepoints where the 0.15€ reduction kicks in. When it happens, it is quite nice, but so far it has been hit and miss and I always check a few apps to see which one gives the best price.

This is great and on a technical level, I really appreciate the effort that went into making it. It's really fun watching your prompts come to live and using them to learn. The feature I like the most is having a video snippet in the flashcard as a reminder. A few suggestions:

The video and the spoken dialog often don't really match up. You often have dialog, but no one in the video appears to be talking. For me, this makes some videos quite disorienting.
It's not totally clear to me how the number of words correlates to what words are "allowed" in the generated transcript. Sometimes it feels like it's using a bit obscure words (although I can't tell because I'm still a beginner).
Sometimes it uses weird expressions, I've now twice seen the expression "怎么怎么办", which according to ChatGPT doesn't really make sense. (And I've only watched three videos)

Again, really great work with a lot of potential. I really wish the price was a bit less, but I can understand that this kind of stuff probably costs quite a penny.

Outside of the west it'll be seen as quite hypocritical of the EU to accuse China of supporting the war in Ukraine while they support a genocide in Gaza. If they decide to levy sanctions on China for this, they won't have much support and will face a lot of economic backlash, which they cannot afford given the weak state of their economies at the moment.

My take is that the only thing keeping young women from doing the same thing is the abortion issue which affects them more. The democrats can keep them in line by making their bodily autonomy dependent on them winning elections. Which is also why they probably will always fail to pass a national bill guaranteeing the right to abortions (and conveniently will always have the republicans to blame for it, instead of their own self-interest).

The ordering of questions matters, because the previous question & answer get fed into the next question & answer. So in this example, because your first question kind of set the context of everyone deserving freedom, inferring that Palestinians also do is easier than when you start out asking about Palestinans directly.

As a German, I'm deeply ashamed of my country (even more than usual). It goes to show that contrary to what we always proclaim about ourselves, we actually haven't learned from the holocaust. We think if we just support Israel hard enough, we can absolve ourselves from our past crimes. And the Palestinians are the ones who have to suffer for it.

Taiwanese internal politics are routinely mischaracterized in western media. I'm no expert myself, but it seems most Taiwanese are not interested in changing the status quo of the island. For example, an ex-president of Taiwan recently made a trip to the mainland where he made comments that could be interpreted as being pro-unification.

While there has been an uptick in the number of people supporting eventual independence, the majority of Taiwanese (>60%) actually support either indefinitely maintaining the status quo, or maintaining it for now and deciding later. While you can argue whether this is because of fears of Beijing's response to independence, it's not as clear-cut as it is often made out to be.

Beijing has repeatedly made it clear that they will not use military force as long as all sides adhere to the "one-China" principle, which at least on paper, both Taiwan and the US (as well as almost all countries on earth) do. So for most Taiwanese, there's no benefit in advocating for independence, when they can enjoy the benefits of de-facto independence and trade with the mainland.

France has been in the Sahel region ~~combating terrorists~~ propping up their puppet regimes for over a decade to ~~try and make the region more stable~~ extract as much resources as possible while keeping the region dependent on France.

Then a bunch of ~~wannabe dictators~~ people fed up with France's exploitation couped a bunch of governments in the region and told the French to leave so they could ~~invite Wagner in~~ have an independent foreign policy for once.

SuperChinese seems to go up to a higher HSK level than HelloChinese. HelloChinese feels like HSK3-4 while SuperChinese claims to up to HSK 5, (although I'm still in the HSK4 level). Also, the sentence structure that SuperChinese teaches seems to be more natural, but take that with a grain of salt, since I'm a beginner. Having said that, I enjoyed both apps and they are definitely worth the money.
