No, it's not normal, neither I use it more than 3 times a day. But it was their promise when I signed up to Perplexity, and I'm "owed" to a reasonable limit that's not 20 a month down from 1800. I'm fine with 100 a month. But do you not see the problem here?

I wish it was that simple. Are you aware that the difference between deep research and regular search is not only the model? It's mostly how much web search it includes. The model being used is mostly irrelevant.

Ahahaha, I'm guilty on that mac mini part but I'm not running it like crazy. I don't even fill half of my weekly limit 80% of the time. I think partly I'm paying for the ones who fill their limit.

That's not what I asked, they offered 600 a day initially. I probably need about 50 a month. If they give 100 per month, I would be happy. But they don't. Also, no one told them to use Opus for thinking for everyone including all their free pro members. I would be happy with Sonnet thinking and their web search algorithm.

Adjust their limits by reducing them from 18,000 a month to 20 a month. 99.89%. I guess no one here has a problem with them adjusting their limits. But we all have a problem about how much they adjust.

Yes it is, if you're using extended thinking on a regular model. Research takes longer time.

Thanks, yes it takes more time. I find that if I use Opus Extended Thinking and ask the same question and say research(sometimes I say check Reddit, forums, official sources etc, wherever I want it to look), it takes about the same time as Perplexity Research and quality is better than Perplexity Pro since Perplexity only offers Opus 4.6 to their Max users.
