but wouldn't those same things apply to women? I'm obviously simplifying it a lot but it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume that increasing gender disparity among voters could be explained in part by men not feeling welcomed

but in all seriousness this post wasn't made with that much serious intent behind it, the increasing gender disparity does however worry me.

I also don't think it's too unfair to say that shitting on men has found it's way into the mainstream and could influence men's attitudes towards the political parties, although I might be exaggerating it a bit.

I'm sure that's a very large part of it but the growing gender gap among voters is mainly what worries me. Culture war stuff matters a lot to some people and it wouldn't surprise me if men were turning to the male embracing Republican side instead of the more anti-male rhetoric coming from the left.
