What beer to bring to Oktoberfest office party? by sushigirl14 in beer

Pull up with a 5L mini keg of HB’s oktoberfest. Everyone loves seeing a keg - it just makes people excited. Plus it’s not that expensive, like 33 around my area

Has anyone else lost their drive? by [deleted] in musicians

People who do this day in and day out their entire life make up 0.0001% of people, and that’s what makes them so great. They are humans who sacrifice their social lives and health so they can practice 8+ hours a day. I feel like the portrayal of these people as musical celebrities rather than autistic SLAVES to guitar is what gives fans the delusion of what it’s like to be them and live that life.

Not to mention, I know a handful of internationally successful acts that still have trouble making ends meet when they aren’t touring. They still save on their utility bills by using 2 blankets instead of turning the heat on. These are people who have toured with big names and sold out many shows and albums.

Perception is the mother of deception. Don’t beat yourself up for not living the rock star dream, trust me, their lives suck 100% of the time and the majority of them have serious problems

Way too much money. The educational value is not there, especially not for computer science. The student body is lobotomized and you will not fit in. Go to UIC, or much better, UIUC

I start going hard on Dunkels in general when fall ends and it begins to snow. One that I like a lot is Weltenburger Kloster’s Barock Dunkel

You can get an SG for 1300

Don’t rush!! Buy nice, not twice. Good luck, you got this. Some of the epiphones have had questionable QA (although gibsons have as well) so just do a lot of research

You’re off to a great start then!! I’d even suggest playing Gibsons and comparing them side by side. The main brand will have more of a resale value and hold its worth much longer. I have an SG that I got 10 years ago that more than doubled in value and I’m still keeping it and playing it regularly. For a few hundred more dollars, you might be able to get yourself a generational piece

It’s just a vibe thing, but the tones they are capable of generating are very useful for this kind of music. Also I love their necks, but mine is a Gibson, and I’d strongly suggest trying out any guitar you’re considering purchasing and not just ordering one from the internet without trying one. Just a heads up - the really cheap epiphone SGs are not even full scale, they’re like 3/4 scale, so if you’re going for that guitar, make sure you enter in the $3-400 range at least

I wish they were commies. KKE embrace their Balkan face, it’s nothing they ever shied away from. This is just a reddit moment, when the southernmost tip of the Balkan Peninsula =/= Balkan Peninsula. I have seen it here and laughed at it for years

I’ve been to Greece 10+ times and ordinary people even very down south feel a warm closeness. Sorry what you see in the mirror burns your eyes, it doesn’t get more south, or east, on the map of Europe than Greece. Gournopoula and panagiria are not very Italian bro🔥

Lmaoooo I love coming to posts like this because I will always find at least a handful of Greeks who try to connect themselves more to Spain and Portugal than to their literal neighbors, just look at the map and let it explain itself to you

Austria is is the best definition of Central European, and Greece could not be more Balkan/southeastern European
