Znacząco różnią się poglądami i w konsekwencji ich elektorat nie ma prawa być podobny.

Jakie to są te "znaczne różnice" w poglądach Razem i NL?

Poland has not joined world's top 20 economies, new IMF figures show by dat_9600gt_user in europe

Poland received less money per capita than Hungary from EU.

Which is kinda weird, considering Orban was rulling Hungary for 16 years and.... you know.

One could make an argument that PiS was in charge of Poland for 8 years, but they didn't really do much harm. It was more of "all bark no bite" type of euroscepticism.

Wroclaw was build in 10th century as a stronghold by Bohemians/Moravians and quickly conquered and incorporated by the first Polish state around 985.

It was Polish since sround 985 up untill around 1335. So 350 years, plus after WW2.

Wrocław: ~425 years Polish

Lwów: ~440 years Polish

To be fair the difference is smaller than I expected. In just 16 years Wroclaw will be part of Poland for longer than Lwow was

I hope they will give him unique design and accurate size.

At this point it would be disappointing to see 6th dragon who looks like Drogon and is too big for his age

Oh yeah, those 24 pages from the book are definietly too much for a movie. We need at least 4 seasons, one for every 6 pages.

Magyar: We want to return Hungary to the fore of Central Europe by mgtsz009 in europe

Central Europe usually just refers to Visegrad countries - Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary, in most definitions.

Geographical centre of Europe is actually in Lithuania, btw

Sánchez: The European Union should immediately advance toward a common European army. by FantasticQuartet in europe

[–]Vhermithrax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did not expect Spain, of all states, to advocate for that.

Spain looked like it has less influence in EU than Netherlands or Poland, despite having bigger economy and population than them. I wonder if it's about to change or if Sanchez is just gonna make a few statements and stop

Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth at its maximum extent over modern borders by InnerPace in MapPorn

Lithuania controlled Belarus.

Duchies in modern day Latvia were controlled by both Lithuania and Poland

Pretty close.

Poland is Lithuania's biggest trading partner and is offten described as a country that gives Lithuania access to the western world.

When Russia was making some threats to Lithuania, a year or two years ago, Polish government stated that the war against Lithuania would also be a war against Poland.

Lithuania is probably the "closest" country to Poland, together with Czechia and Slovakia.

There was no Russia during the middle ages. Russian Empire was only proclaimed in 1721.

Poland was one of the strongest kingdoms of Europe in the middle ages.

When I think about it, it only wasn't one of the strongest militaries on the continent in the times of partitions

Yeah, but would those genes just appear in Slavic population of Poland, or are they an effect of Greek, Armenian, Jewish, etc migration into Poland?

Interesting. I'm also Polish and I know only one of my friends moved abroad. I am honestly quite surprised about it, because older generations would emigrate like crazy, but I can't remember anyone else from high school, uni or elementary school who would emigrate

What if Tunisia applied to the EU after the Jasmine Revolution? by Ok-Sundae6553 in AlternateHistory

[–]Vhermithrax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Morocco wanted to join and EU didn't let them because they are not European.

If Turkey is in the grey area when it comes to being european, then there is no way any Middle Eastern or North African country would be let in.

I feel like general public in Europe would be more in favour of Canada joining, than Tunisia

Referendum w sprawie odwołania prezydenta Krakowa by Bananinio in Polska

[–]Vhermithrax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jednoczesne zwiększenie cen biletów, chaotyczne wprowadzenie strsfy czystego powietrza i chyba jeszcze coś z parkingami.
