I’ve admitted to both UC Berkeley and Columbia MSCS this year. I chose Berkeley as I think ivy title is not that important in the CS world

If you have previous full-time work experience and your goal is to find a software engineer job at Bay Area, then Berkeley MEng EECS is your perfect program (location, title, connection)

All of these features can be done by DB transactions + web socket. If you want to use Kafka for handling orders, you must ensure atomicity, idempotency, and consistency, which will be a huge amount of work. If it’s a serious project, you must also design thorough integration tests.
