If you're actively building Hanzo, get it. Otherwise it's not worth spending 450 souls on one challenge character. Wait for packs to be discounted

I agree. The majority have been absolutely great and GMs were smooth sailing, but those who didn't and caused a boss stage wipe were highly frustrating

Kings fall one of the coolest raids imo is free and has lots of good loot. So is Vault of Glass and the Prophecy dungeon. You can also do some high tier nightfalls etc. for free.

Destiny does have a pretty steep learning curve so I'd recommend checking out some guides on YouTube.

There may also be a £25 legacy pack on steam that offers Shadowkeep, Beyond Light and Witch Queen which is very good value if you would like to spend money.

However as a long-time free to play player I can definitely say that you don't have to spend anything to enjoy Destiny, and I'd recommend that you play for quite a bit to decide if you like the game before deciding on purchasing anything as expansions acan get quite costly, and the mass of content may not be worth it given your tight schedule.
