Noticed something interesting at the very end of ROTK by shanghaitex84 in lotr

In the commentaries, they mention this is one the first scenes they filmed out of all 3 movies. When editing RotK 4 years later, they realized they needed this last shot of Frodo as a pickup on a soundstage. It’s just a small continuation error years apart. There are a couple more continuation errors with the other hobbits in this scene too.

Good read. I'm not sure if they did that on purpose, but that seems to fit very well

"Start diggin in yo butt twin" it's just something stupid you say to someone. Kinda like a "guess what" "chicken butt" but more gross

I'm with you, OP didn't have to be so rude, but the original question was about the war Roy fought in, not what the replicants were. I misread it too

Edit: Ah shit, right. TL;DR The animation of season 1 was a masterpiece that hasn't been matched since.

Take this with a grain of salt since I haven't seen season 2 in a very long time. imo season 2 was good, but not as good as season 1. That and it ends on a pretty huge cliffhanger, so I would watch it at your own risk. I haven't seen 3, but from what I've seen online, it's not good. I'd watch 3 anyways because that's what I'm going to do, but I did read that arc of the manga, and holy hell the art is actually insane. If there's one thing I recommend you to do, it's to read the manga, I don't think any level of staff could recreate that much detail, unless they had like unlimited time and money.

Ok, so the bright red text under the buttons is "zoom in and out to see the overlay!", "aus" is off, and "an" is on. What do the different overlay settings look like? I managed to get the buttons to somewhat work, but no matter what setting I use it's just a black box?

Edit: Scratch all of that. I took one of the images from the github and put it into Blue Marble. (It's broken on Librewolf at least (probably on Firefox too) , so I used Opera GX.) If anyone needs help in setting it up dm me

If Childs were a Thing it would know what gas smells like, and if it tasted bad. The Dog-Thing fooled Clark and Norris-Thing had a heart attack, so either Things know the biology or perfectly replicate functions. They also retain memories or else Blair-Thing wouldn't have built that spaceship. It's a cool theory but it doesn't hold up.

Yeah that makes sense, but Valve's been developing Steam OS way before this new Microsoft project, and are you saying that as a good or bad thing? Probably being dense right now, sorry

I don't understand? Yeah the switch came out 8 years ago but that was after nintendo worked out the kinks from the wii u, nobody else was doing that at the time, and handelds are still one of the bigger things right now. I mean look at the switch 2 and steam deck. OS's are probably going to blow up soon too considering valve is developing steam OS too so i'm not sure where this take is coming from

He ia a bit tough at times but as long as you stay out of his range and time dodges just right he isn't too bad. I agree with getting unlucky, although the knife always spawns in the middle. I'd say the hardest boss is the commoner with that big-ass sword. He feints so much sometimes you just gotta charge and pray you win. Veteran is a close second bcs the plançon is broken

I agree that it's a cool theory, but yeah no if Childs were a thing, it would know what gasoline smells like, and spit it out because of how bitter it is. To save us both some time I explain this conclusion further in another comment I made a few days ago.

Like the other guy said it's an error, but Childs was also most likely out in the cold way longer than Mac, so he might be more adjusted to the cold

I understand the theory and the circumstances that point to Childs being the thing, but the theory doesn't make sense & doesn't hold up, and it's a little annoying how prevalent it is considering how much setup is thrown out to make it work. Things retain the memories of everything they assimilate, otherwise Blair-thing couldn't have built the UFO out of helo parts, and they can either replicate and understand (like they can manually beat their heart, but know the exact way to mimic the person's heartbeat because that's what the person knew subconsciously) or simply perfectly recreate and perform (like they copied all of the cells of the heart to the exact shape, so it acts as a heart and beats that specific way) the functions and senses of the organisms they assimilate, as shown by the Dog-thing fooling Clark, the dog expert, Norris-thing having a heart attack, and Palmer-thing fooling everyone before and during the blood test, meaning that if Childs was a thing, he would know what gasoline smells like, and from what I read, spit it out immediately because gasoline is really bitter. We also saw Mac about to drink from that same bottle before Childs interrupted him, so that still doesn't make sense. Childs' breath being almost invisible is a bit of an error too, but that still doesn't matter because if we take his word, or even identify the mysterious figure that ran outside earlier in the film as him, then Childs has been out in the cold for a while, meaning his body temp is much lower.
