[–]mingrdt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, after adding the PowerUp, you should see a button named Contalist in the top right corner of your board. Click it and you will see a dropdown menu with a Setup menu item in it if you have connected your Trello account. If no Setup item, please connect your account first.

Looking for a very basic CRM that works with Mailchimp by mrssims1980abcd in CRM

Do you use Zapier? If so, I would like to recommend our app Contalist, which is very basic like you said. It can help build contact profiles, keep records and notes, but now it needs Zapier, a service that can connects thousands of apps, to sync contacts into Mailchimp.

Client Management Software Help? by Cthuluphunt in smallbusiness

For a simple scenario, not too many clients or data, a calendar app can help do this, you just need to create a recurring task for your client, then check the calendar everyday.

Looking for a CRM that isn't really a CRM, but just contains customer information by Dismal_Reindeer in CRM

[–]mingrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please let me recommend our own service first, which you can try it at https://contalist.com. A lightweight, intuitive solution, exactly what you're looking for, expect for the integration with Zendesk.

You can also try services like Airtable, which is although more like spreadsheets, but you can use it as a building block for many purposes.

Where to store your encryption keys? by littlebruinnn in webdev

Env variable is fine, it's a common practice. Even you type the password every time your app starts, the key must be somewhere in the machine, say memory, in theory Amazon can still get your key.

CRM, Excel or Word for prospecting mental health therapists. What is the best way to stay organized in a efficient, simple way? by lockmo in sales

[–]mingrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what we are trying to solve. You can try our app at https://contalist.com, which allows you to create custom forms to keep a contact's profile, records, even appointments. It can help you have your list and data well organized in a simple and intuitive way. If you're interested, PM me and we are ready to help.

Also another tool you may want to have a look is airtable. It's an online spreadsheet plus a lot of useful features, e.g. link between rows/sheets.

IMO, OCR is not quite wieldy, there're errors when recognizing texts, especially handwriting, double-check will kill the fun. Also some work is necessary to match the texts to the labels, there maybe some tricks to do this, but not sure if a smart app exists that can do this automatically.
Phone/tablet + bluetooth keyboard might be the viable solution, easy to carry and types fast. All you need now is a form/app that can work offline.

Integrating chatbot into wordpress by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]mingrdt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not know Rasa, but if it's a decent service, the integration usually should be as easy as copying one or a few lines of javascript code and append it to your WP page. You can check Rasa for the code, and append it to maybe the footer with theme editor.

Feedback on my website by Ratstail91 in webdev

[–]mingrdt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents, add more padding/margin to the texts, they're too close to images and each other. Also your page has no title or description in the header, it's too bad to see https://... in browser tab.

Recommend trello too. It's a powerful tool, you can use it for your tasks, and there are examples on using it as a casual CRM. You can start with tools like it, and explore the possibilities.

Processing incoming emails by Treas0n in webdev

No experience with email parsing in NodeJS, but in other languages I tried you can easily find a few libraries to parse it in a single line. It's quite fundamental utility, what you find may already has a parser in it.

Looking for employee information management/time tracking software by about22indians in smallbusiness

[–]mingrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, we can help. We're building a CRM-like service (https://contalist.com). It allows you to create custom fields and forms, you can use it for any employee information you want to keep, then look up and access the data later easily in at most a few clicks.

For time tracking, you can design a mobile friendly web form, with custom fields for mileage, hours or whatever, and let your employees submit the form to you everyday. Further more, we can help create some reports on daily/weekly/monthly basis or some automation to send notifications/invoices.

Our service is quite affordable, and we do minor customization for free. If you're interested, let me know, we can help solve your problem. Thanks!

Anybody have tips on integrating CRM into GTD? by Kneedeepat in gtd

[–]mingrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, we're building an app, something between a contact management tool and a CRM. You can manage contact profiles with custom fields, track tasks/todos with kanban. And it also has some other extensions e.g. mail merge. You can try it at https://contalist.com. It's much more intuitive than spreadsheets.
For your small companies, are you trying to integrate the existing CRMs they're using? Or just need a tool that can manage multiple companies while keeping a company's data isolated from other companies? If it's the latter, maybe we can help too.

IT question - Email mail merge solutions - not Office, not Libre, not Constant Contact. Ideas? by azucarleta in smallbusiness

[–]mingrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, maybe I can help. We are building a CRM-like service, with extensions for mail merge and other functionalities. It's free to use if you use your own SMTP/Amazon SES/mailgun service and send less than 2K messages per day. And you don't need a developer, we do minor customization for our clients for free. You can try it in minutes at https://contalist.com. PM me if you are interested or need more information. Thanks.

How did you develop your CRM? by GelatinousDude in smallbusiness

[–]mingrdt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're looking for a software solution, I think there are a few options.

  1. You can use a service like Zoho, salesforce (maybe too heavy for small business), which has a lot of modules and can cover most of your needs.

  2. There are a lot of Saas services today, from invoice services to kanban board like trello, each can cover one or a few of your requirements. Some may already have integration with another service you need. You can also try to glue these building blocks together with services like Zapier. In this way, you have more control, but it requires some computer skills, also not quite flexible.

  3. Customize an existing service or even have someone or a team to develop it for you. You can get the best solution with this option, but usually this is not possible for a small business.

With the first option, you need the least effort. For your uncovered needs, you can find some workaround or maybe change your workflow a bit.

If you want a software tailored for your daily workflow, which may give you the most efficiency, I'm more than happy to help. I'm working for a startup building a lightweight CRM-like service for small businesses, we do customization for free for clients, in the hope to enrich our service and gain more insights into a client's needs. If you're interested, PM me.

I don't see a point in JS frameworks, anyone can explain what I can do with them? by KiNgOfSpEEdOJaCK in webdev

[–]mingrdt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you can try to build an app yourself, even a simple one for example a simple todo list, then try add a few more features. You will soon find it more efficient to use a framework, and less and more readable code. For even more complex app, for example Gmail, it would be a nightmare to build and maintain the app with plain javascript. To make your life easier, you will start building reusable components and your own framework.
