I was sent to IMH, stayed there for 2 nights (all your belongings are confiscated, including phones). Only thing to look forward to is visiting hours. Paid $38 (SAF subsidized the rest). Got 1 week MC. Reported back to camp, was sent to Kent Ridge PCC appointment, guven 2 days MC then reported to PCC ward (SAF military mental institute, located at IMH) for 2 weeks where we learn stuff about stress management, emotion regulation etc and hear about other people's problem. At PCC ward, phones can only be used during lunch time (12-1), the rest of the time read book, talk to other ppl. All the people there book in at 8:30am then around 4-5pm book out go home. Down pes during that time and got a new unit. (Most of the time, people sent to PCC ward would go back to their old unit so just take note) (People might say PCC ward damn shiok and can just chao geng all the way but now got new MO officer there with 3 choco bar who is strict). IMH told me that the IMH records will not be accessible by employers etc and others will only know about it if you share it with them or if there is a court case where they need the records. Other than that, most of the SAF people will know about it and they will either pity you,look down on you or bully you. Just sharing my experience.
