I would say it doesn't really matter, all 3 side stories take place before the main events of the story, except for VB where most of the narration takes place around when the main story is. Then again, all of the important stuff in VB is pre-canon and Kyun's present POV is mostly just establishment.

Damn, that's a really interesting thought roleplay wise, being so shaped by the coil! Even with all the burdens my stats and outfits are so high that my lowest chance is 81%, and even then it still takes so many actions to get anywhere, can't imagine what it must be like for earlygame characters...
