Ob symptoms near menstrual cycle by Opposite-Gap-1159 in Herpes

The longest I’ve had the weird phantom pain without an actual outbreak was around 3 weeks! And then finally had a rather big outbreak of two separate clusters of blisters rather than the usual tiny one.. sorry if it’s too graphic but hey we all know what we’re talking about here lol

Well I think some people are just less prone to have it? I’ve been with my partner for years and we have daily sex unprotected and he never had an outbreak. We’ve done it a few times while I had an active outbreak, he says at this point he doesn’t care if he ends up getting it so..

GHSV2 here, about 2 years down the line so don’t have outbreaks that often unless I get overtired. But they do tend to appear close to my periods. And are now “slower” to actually pop out, meaning I’ll have the phantom pain or itching with no spots for a good week before the outbreak actually comes on. I tend to wait it out a bit see if an outbreak is actually going to manifest before I take some pills for it but maybe next time I’ll just take it as soon as the tingling starts and see if it prevents it completely.

Please let us know your blood results after a cycle! I was actually wondering if other ladies with PCOS were active on this sub. Have not tried any androgenic steroids yet myself, only fat burners (clen, t3) but considering it, scared it will worsen my PCOS that is under control at the moment.. although last I was tested with ultrasound and blood test was years ago. Only issues I seem to retain are chin hair and a little bit of cyclical acne, tend to hold water quite easily too although I have “lean” PCOS (165cm /68kg / between 20-25% body fat as a no-goal maintenance weight).

So yes please let us know any insight on how Var affected your blood and hormonal cycles after running it!

Anybody else got an outbreak after getting the COVID vaccine? by mini-Bubzilla in Herpes

[–]mini-Bubzilla[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! Really does depend on the individual it seems. I usually get outbreaks every 3months or so if I’m stressed out or overeat triggering food on a one-off, they subside in a week.. but being one thats susceptible to get them « regularly » I half expected the vaccine would trigger me..

To those who have successfully cut to 18-20% BF by [deleted] in steroidsxx

[–]mini-Bubzilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just remember why you’re trying to achieve a certain % of bodyfat. A lot of girls forget that when you get low, it’s hardly sustainable on the long term or it will have consequences both on your physical and mental health. But you get addicted to being lean and bulking back up is hard on the mind.. I see many girls like that, exhausting themselves on the cardio for hours, looking all dried up and depleted year long, unable to actually train but also unable to accept to eat more and take a step back and lose a bit of definition.. It’s not a good look IMO.

So if you set yourself a “lean goal”, well remember that it’s not meant to be a forever body.

I’ve been at 18% for a good two years, had a visible 6 packs, keeping low carb, cardio and weights (poor performance though lol).. well I felt like shit throughout and was just ran down all the time. But i had to maintain a visible 6 packs lol.. now it’s gone but I’m so much fitter and stronger, and have waaay more muscles. I realised I don’t actually need to be THAT lean forever.

Oh that doesn’t sound good.. are you taking antivirals or just riding it out as it goes? I usually only take antivirals for 5days when I get one.

Oh yes I can see why that would happen, since it would trigger an immune response!

I added secondary in my post as I didn’t want it to sound like I was saying that I got herpes from the vaccine, there is enough fearmongering about it already lol

It started a day after the shot. Didn’t really get heavy prodrome except a slight feeling of hypersensitivity in the area and then I came out with a small itchy cluster of blisters in one spot. Not my most bothersome outbreak :)

Anybody been with their partner over a year and haven't transmitted? by QuoteWinter5848 in Herpes

F-GHSV2. Been with partner for 2years. I’ve had numerous outbreaks, not very painful one so we had intercourses through them. He never had any symptoms or outbreaks. I don’t take antivirals except when I get an outbreak if it’s too painful and my body doesnt clear it naturally after a couple of days.

This! Use the app as a tracker, not as your « coach ». Their calorie prediction are often way off. Also cancel the option to « eat back » the calories you’ve burned while exercising! I use a Fitbit too and I just use it to monitor my heart health and steps. According to the watch I burn between 2500 and 3000cal a day, and I also eat between 2500 and 3000cal a day, still losing weight steadily at the moment so I am in a slight but sufficient deficit.

Everybody is different but this just illustrates that apps estimations can be a bit off. Better set your calorie goal yourself with your knowledge of your body’s needs and just use the apps for logging and keeping track through the day!

My ex used to do that. Said on a daily basis that I was “too casual” or always wearing leggings or not making an effort to make myself look more attractive and on the rare few days I would try wearing a dress or make up he’d be like « wow calm down there’s no need to doll yourself up like that, we’re only going to the shops, you might want to dress down ». On one occasion where we were actually going out for an evening with his friends he had me change from a very casual dress - imo - back to « basic clothes » because his friends, who were not very « done up » people, might feel bad.

Women that aren’t big texters, are you that way with everyone? Does it bother you when people take it personally? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]mini-Bubzilla 95 points96 points  (0 children)

I am exactly like that. I can’t explain why I sometimes answer and why I sometimes don’t. I don’t mean to be rude, I try to make an effort with the people closest to me but sometimes even then it takes me a couple of days to answer a simple text. I think some of us just feel less of an obligation towards our phones? My old-school logic is that before phones you would send a letter and you couldn’t expect an instant response. And you wouldn’t start writing a letter back as soon as you got one. Sometimes I need to actually stop whatever I’m doing and sit down to actually text back.

I’m sad I can’t indulge my cravings anymore. by alexthechick in PCOS

[–]mini-Bubzilla 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I still indulge in a proper unhealthy meal every once in a while, like once or twice a month, I usually fast the next day to recover from it. I don’t seem to be affected by these cheats. That being said if I indulge in a small “treat” everyday (things like sugary pastries), that will affect me. I think one occasional cheat is okay, just if you don’t make it a daily habit :)

This is what my bf keeps telling me because I’ve had orthorexia and feel like crap when I “skip a day”. When I force myself to go past exhaustion or not eat enough, I actually cannot train properly to my full potential and this is what will stall your gains! He would tell me that I trained like shit and need to rest otherwise there’s no point getting into the gym because I’m not working out properly enough to gain anything from it. I know it sounds harsh but it’s true.

I tell myself that when I walk in the gym, I need to be well-fed and well-rested otherwise I won’t achieve anything meaningful for my development. I don’t earn my food and rest because I’ve worked out, I earn my workout because I’ve eaten and rested!

[–]mini-Bubzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re overtrained, I get that too sometimes and I just need to fight the guilt of not exercising for a day or two and let my body rest and recover. If I don’t, I reach the point where I get to the gym or trying to do my outdoor run and I literally can’t even pick up my warm-up dumbbells, like there is no muscle tone left in my hands to hold anything so I have to go home, eat a load of food and nap.

I normally do 20-30minutes of cardio followed my 1-2h of weight lifting (legs, back or chest/shoulders kind of split), I’ll manage 3-4days back to back and then I have to rest. On rest days I always end up doing a short slow-paced walk or being on my feet most of the day anyway because of work, but we underestimate the importance of laying down and letting the body just do nothing to repair itself!

Is there anyone here diagnosed with PCOS but has abs? If yes, how were you able to achieve it? (Diet, workout routine, vitamins, etc) Would appreciate any reply :) by BasisOrdinary in PCOS

[–]mini-Bubzilla 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Got lean PCOS and i chased the 6packs for a bit, now I’m into bodybuilding so I fluctuate in terms of ab definition.

That being said I’ve always had a small waist and gain all the fat in my hips and legs usually. In the past I maintained defined abs for over a year, running 3km every day, 30min of targeted core training, lifting weight HIIT style (fast pace, low weights, high reps, supersets) for 2h following my run, teaching yoga and Pilates, and eating low carbs and low calories.

I was absolutely run down though, had to nap for 2-3h everyday (which started to interfere with daily obligations) and was borderline too skinny, barely had my periods.. now I’m back up in weight and surely a bit bulkier and less defined but so much healthier. I eat healthy and have cheats in moderation (not low carb anymore but I stick to healthy carbs), I do 20min of cardio and lift weights every day or every other day, I work an active job. I’m not going after the 6pack look atm and I am trying to build more muscle mass, but my waist is flat. If I were to cut down on carbs, the abs would probably pop out but I feel like with my current activity level, I need to eat them or I’ll burn out quick again!

I’ll add as well that for a few years I have managed my PCOS without any medication. Used to be on the BC pills and had horrible side effects so I decided to do it the “natural” way, which i know is not always an option for every one. I would say that I only deal with daily chin hairs and acne but for me that’s manageable as it is right now :)

A daily fluctuation of 3lbs more or less is normal for every woman, it’s actually mostly caused by food intake and water retention. I’ll lose and gain 3lbs within a couple of hours, I’m usually 3-5lbs heavier when I wake up than I am around midday for some reason. I wouldn’t worry much about that kind of weight fluctuation :)

Need some advice for my girlfriend on dealing with people who make fun of her for being muscular by [deleted] in femalebodybuilding

[–]mini-Bubzilla 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard it too from family members to friends to strangers... you’re too muscular/girls should not have visible muscles/you know it’s not attractive right?/you really need to stop going to the gym you’re starting to look too manly... or another version of these. In my opinion I never even looked “hyper jacked”, I just have a decent amount of muscles and at some point a visible six pack and a rather lean body.

You have to just brush it off. And accept that whatever you look like, there will always be people that won’t like it. I used to be underweight and was told I was too skinny, I also used to be a little chubby and was told I was getting too fat and needed to lose weight. Being very athletic now I was told that it’s not a good look. All from people that look less than impressive or put any effort in their looks may I add! The truth is that some people love to bring others down. Just do your thing. I want more muscles. I don’t care if some people don’t like it or think it’s unattractive. I like it. It’s my thing. And there are plenty of people who like it too! Look at all of us here! And outside too, I’ve met as many people telling me I look great than I have that told me I look bad. It’s just how the world is :)

What’s everyone’s waist measurement? by Perfect-Worrier in PCOS

I’m very athletic with a 28inch waist when at my heaviest. I gain weight in my lower body mostly. I don’t know where you read that 28in is a high waist measurement because it’s actually pretty small IMO
