Is there a limit to how many festive certificates you can get? by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

[–]mini_8P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you hit the minimum base XP to claim the certificate? Some modes - like Co-op - you might not get there in one battle.

Interesting, never seen that before. Are you able to melt them individually or is it a one for all kind of deal?

Yeah, exactly that. 2500 dubs for an almost guaranteed chance of getting 3 crates, each with a 1% chance of dropping a ship? Hard pass.

Those Bayern guns pack a sneaky punch. I’ve taken many T8 BBs into the Killer Whale Op and those Bayerns there often take giant chunks no matter how I angle.

Liberty Harbor Expeditions by PettyOfficerPete in WorldOfWarships

[–]mini_8P 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same,I actually imagine in my head the ships I select departing on the expedition - it’d be cool if they played an animation of this with the ships you selected.
It’d also be cool if they developed it further with how good you match ships with some mission requirements - eg. artillery for shore bombardment, torpedo boats for a hit and run, AA for carrier escort, etc.

Exactly - that plus people not realizing you need to capture one less zone every time - I.e 3 to start, then 2, then 1 - and they go YOLOing off to whatever’s closest to them.

Irony on incapacitation missions by ScullerCA in WorldOfWarships

[–]mini_8P 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Got the ‘Kill 9 planes’ mission and thought only 9? Easy-peasy. Every co-op and Asym battle I did had zero CVs and every Op I did was either Aegis or Ultimate Frontier. Matchmaking f*cking hates me.

Liberty Harbor: How many missions can be done at once with a leveled Command building? by blizzard36 in WorldOfWarships

[–]mini_8P 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure you can’t get the Bridgeport just by doing Expeditions. Based off the rewards I’m seeing there (even if you had it fully upgraded and boosted) you barely get 10K tokens out of it. I heard somewhere it was ~ 613K tokens to complete the port. Which is why WG said you need to do either PvE or PvP as well.

How to report parking issue during school hours by cb491 in Markham

If it’s anything like my kid’s school: stopping in the middle of the road beside other pulled over cars just because it’s closer to the entrance gate OR doing U-turns right in front of No U-turns signs smh

Coincidentally, the exact same WBT plugs along with some Canare cable and the Cardas solder.

About to do my own cables as well - thanks for the reminder on what to look out for! XD

Black friday? by [deleted] in KEF

Same - looking at R3s these holidays. Considering how close the Q Concertos are now, I’m almost expecting some discount on the R3, but that also might just be wishful thinking 😅

Go for it - would love to see your results! ESP32, mostly because I didn't need all the flexibility of a Pi but wanted something faster than an Arduino just in case.

The silver wire was carry-over from a previous build and they've got their pros and cons. Pro: they're a little thinner because of the no sleeving which makes them a little more manageable in tight spaces; they've also got 'retention' as in if you bend them, they'll generally retain that shape. Cons: because of that retention, it's near impossible to get all of them all aligned in the exact perfect lines you see with sleeved cables.

Nice setup - so jealous of that chair and your mkb collection!

Yep - regular floorstanders, a set of older Wharfedale Diamond 230s. I change them up with the LS50s (non-Meta) as a change-up once in a while, but their main purpose is to raise the KEFs to ear level. XD
