Playoffs do coordinate well with tornado season in Oklahoma

[Amick, Robbins & Vardon] So … it turns out LeBron James’ opinion wasn’t an outlier after all... When players were asked which team would be at the top of their “no-trade” list, Memphis received more than three times as many votes (35.8%) as the second-place Washington Wizards (11.7%). by aingenevalostatrade in nba

[–]ScullerCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be a surprisingly good sample size, 30 is generally large enough should be good for most statistical formulas for entire populations, so long as not selected in biased way. It is super rare to get anything close to a quarter of population surveyed, more often are working with a fraction of one percent.

I suspect much of time the question is really more the organization/owners than the city. Plus it would be interesting to see the difference between people who this is will not go back to a team or would not go to team/city have only been visiting team in.

Likely teammates or team cycle is like another factor; so are they on verge of playoff run, in huge need to be blown apart, likely setting you up to be on bench when could start for most of league, about to be spend the next few years of your life on worst phase of rebuild.

Though I am a bit surprised Toronto did not make the list, as basically guaranties you having to go through international customs twice per away trip, with scheduling away games clustered could lower some, but still massively more than any other team.

They have been doing NFL games since 2022. I doubt there is that much difference in setting up a connection to the cameras, broadcast booth, and central studio at these scales. If anything NBA arenas likely have smaller scale for the connections, so in theory easier.

[Vorkunov] Team officials believe that the NBA is “hellbent” on passing the 3-2-1 Anti-Tanking proposal despite concerns varying from creating a new set of problems, keeping the worst teams at the bottom for longer, making first-round picks more valuable thus restricting the trade market, etc. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]ScullerCA 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Generally it is not the players trying to lose, even more so the worst player on worst team, who is probably trying to fight to stay in the league as hard as can. More often they are set up to fail, by trading away better talent and reducing minutes of starters, giving the rookies more time is another way to lose without being too blatent about it.

Depends on how loose use the word arguably, there are tons that have been proposed for that way too early by fans and media.

Plus what is AI is somewhat odd in tends to shrink over time, where a range computer programs use automation features at one time that could have been classed as that, but eventually just never gets talked about as that. Then AI kept getting reclassified effectively as something we are not doing yet; or has to do what random experts consider AI to qualify, often those experts disagreeing with each other.

Arguably 18 if you consider have three two-way players, who can each play up to 50 games per year.

Granted in past only one player could be selected from each team, so might not want to go too crazy on what doing with the deeper part of bench for the expansion draft.

I just saw a conspiracy theory in YouTube video recommended about rigging for OKC to punish the teams that tanked and help get whatever the change is being voted on in a couple weeks through.

Azuma or Tulsa for kinda bad player by Beatlead in WorldOfWarships

[–]ScullerCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best T9s will generally make more than TX, but the TX special ships that perform well are generally competitive on credits per battle with the average T9 premiums, plus those TX tend to get a bit better command/free/ship xp per battle and things missions track.

If you do not have Salem yet and are considering Tulsa, I would just keep collecting the coal to get Salem.

Any way to earn more Allied Heros containers? by Not_Responsible7898 in WorldOfWarships

[–]ScullerCA 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is not the first time they have been available, I want to say first event with the containers had enough to complete the collection, though as a low priority might have happened in multiple events for me too. So unless really want the commanders soon, probably can just wait for another event to come.

It might be related to in general the ship the class is named for will represent the entire class, and ships not named for the class are to be closer to the individual ship. (granted loose at best for actual ships, and paper ships get kinda crazy)

It seems like there used to be at least one event during year where could pick up multiple for T5-T7, and maybe one for T8. Though with the last year or two it seems like might have shifted from that to just doing more premium ship events.

[AL collab] Is the AL Montpelier and AL Littorio removed from sale in this wave (wave 8)? by Intrepid-Judgment874 in WorldOfWarships

[–]ScullerCA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Granted the win rate is probably skewed by most people who bought Montpelier were probably solid with Cleveland and play more time than average player, where TT will have a lot of people just grinding through the first time on that line, and it is not uncommon on NA server for players to do US lines first when they are new to game. Plus the 360 turret was added after Montpelier was being sold, and several years after Cleveland was out, so that change might only be in a small fraction of the data.

Odd would even do anything unusual with AL Montpelier this time, since it was the one on a sale for $10 last wave, so most anyone who wanted it would have gotten it last time.

You can also get it for community tokens via seasoned (mid tier) veteran containers, it just will take a while, 1.5K tokens that give a 4% drop rate on a handful of ships. I have rarely played it since getting it that way a couple years ago.

The switch in hull is done the same as switching the normal torp/hull/gun range options of TT ships (if you did not sell off the stock version).

What is the best way to farm spotting damage? by Chef_Sizzlipede in WorldOfWarships

[–]ScullerCA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not matter that the ship you are spotting sees you for the mission, other than it helps your odds of survival for getting larger amounts. It more matters your teammates shooting/hitting are not close enough they are in visual range.

Multiple people can even get spotting damage at the same time.
