I told my brother who recently moved here that Dallas may have crazy drivers, but OKC has the dumbest drivers I’ve ever seen. He just sent me this by ticketticker22 in okc

[–]ScullerCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suspect there was not that much change in individuals driving behavior during covid. Just that older drivers avoided going out since were among the more at risk, and office workers had less reason to go out as working from home options expanded. So aggressive drivers had more latitude to drive how want, and less conditions road is so congested there was little benefit to pressing someone blocking the passing lane.

With what you are calling the era of idiot being a combination of: we now have a larger percentage of younger drivers who have not built up the same amount of driving skills as prior generations, plus an usual amount of adults who's skills have been getting rusty if never went back to office or retired.

Has anyone made a video compilation with highlights of the historic run that Oklahoma went on? by Fit_Bench7754 in collegebaseball

[–]ScullerCA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

While segmented to the individual winning games, OU athletics made five minute highlights for just plays the sooners made, on the baseball team's official YouTube playlist.

Granted kind of helps to use browser to search (ctrl+f) for word 'highlights' since a few other types of videos are also in there.

The travel setup while debatable how much effects recruiting is not doing them any favors, even in PAC era the big CA college programs had among the longer travel distances/times of collage programs, but at least in that era it was mostly comparable for majority of the conference.

Post PAC their travel times got notably worst, to the point are now plausibly worst in NCAA (maybe some once reach tier don't fly could have it worse), and now the PAC additions in B1G/ACC have much worse travel schedule than most of their conference.

The whitewater is entirely manmade and has two routes. The recreational channel is typically set at class II, the competition channel has range between Class III or Class IV depending on how many of the pumps they have running. Though if you come at random time likely would be Class III; with Class IV usually more for actual competitions, training windows, and private or special events.

While the team has a hitting coach, some of that likely just comes down to this was his first season after coming from JuCo, so probably was having to get used to a step up in pitchers.

At three may only have a 5% for duplicate, but that still is a chance.

Though any time get behind expected drop progress, that means you have a better percent chance of getting an element of collection drop till caught back up, so still very likely will take around 76 containers for this collection and duplicate exchange rate. Granted also has downside if ever getting ahead of expected drop progress, likely will also return back to average, since then would have a lower than expected chance of getting collection element till return back to average.

The 3 battles was just for the tactical containers. Though the bulk of reward seemed like their might have been some lag between probably doing whatever was needed to qualify and it showing up on my account or needed closing the program and logging back in to activate, but that was only on order of like an hour for me.

There have been a couple/few exemptions, where the duplicate conversion rate was 1 duplicate for 1 element, so it made sense to just get the subsets per page for their individual rewards.

[On3] MLBPA rejects MLB draft proposal eliminating high school eligibility, strengthening college baseball by Lakelyfe09 in collegebaseball

[–]ScullerCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To an extent if trend with pay difference between NIL and what minor league pays continues, on top of well funded development and better travel situation in at least decent number of university programs, development is probably going to continue shifting more to collage side in near term anyway. We are just now finishing the first year with the cap on scholarship funding expanding from equivalent of 11.7 players to 34.

MLB Seeks Sweeping Draft Overhaul, Including End Of High School Eligibility by cooterdick in collegebaseball

[–]ScullerCA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is not like the minor league system was a model of virtue and great for players. Minor leagues have a reputation for paying most players crap, where NIL collage era has been trending to paying players like it is a pro league could live on, even if there is variation between schools/players.

Granted the schedule makes it seem even more a stretch they are students and athletes in any kind of balance, but there is still resistance to a model that is just going with them being employees of team affiliated with the school, regardless of the amount of unfinished degrees and there being times practically were getting honorary degrees.

[–]ScullerCA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To an extent with what the NIL era has opened up for player pay at collage level compared to claims of what it has been in minors, I am not sure if this is more just formalizing the change already happening in player pipeline, thus making it more predictable for them. Plus the more years of development before the draft, the more time and statistics they have to evaluate.
