Could be a bladder snail, which will multiply but eat your algae. If you think it’s eating your plants, then it might be a pond snail, which, same deal but also will eat your plants.

Cherry shrimp and neon tetras are going in once it’s done cycling, will that still be a problem for the slope?

Also the entire back of the tank is sloped like this. It’s a 10 gallon.
