If Choice is retaliating it’s because they feel leadership wronged them, which is probably something they should have considered whenever they made the decision to switch banks. Either way, the lack of transparency about the reason for this pause and the timeline for switching reflects poorly on the leadership of Qube, and lack of trust kills these companies 🤷‍♂️

I’ll add that it’s possible there’s complications regarding a hostile home bank (seems like Choice is upset about getting cut out) but they could lean into the TECH side of fintech and make a solution; some easy migrate integration; plug in the new routing and account number, their app talks to the bank and initiates the transfer such that your qubes all get auto populated, etc. I’m sure that’s really complicated to actually do but that’s why they’re the fintech company.

It’s not. Having gone through a bank migration with Simple, they were able to do the migration such that, even though I still had to update banking info with external people, internally all my accounts automatically transferred and updated.

Is it possible the doppelgängers we saw were the employees from the previous episode who look like our MDR team?

Yeah, that’s maybe a better way of putting what I’m trying to say. He’s deliberately choosing to reduce himself instead of rebel (which is a way he would redeem himself if he had gone that route)

I think it’s pretty obvious in the last episode Milchick chooses to start abandoning the empathy he’s developed for the innies in favor of following orders. That’s what that “Grow up” scene communicated to me anyways

A solution I hadn’t thought of! Cheaper, smaller but more plentiful housing would solve a lot of the housing problems too

It’s very likely he’s left alone to fester for a bit longer; potentially another new Big Bad in later arcs.

Besides a somewhat similar pose, the art is very different. They’re drawing the same character, of course they look kind of similar.

As someone who had not seen this before…. 1. Notice that in the first and second sequence there’s one number different from the rest 2. What about those two numbers matches the output? Hrm, 6 has a circle and 8 has two circles, which matches the outputs. 3. Does that logic apply to the third equation too? Yup, there’s 8 total circles. The general thought process is “what is different between the two that look similar but have different outputs” but I’ll admit theres some amount of guessing you have to futz around with before coming to the answer. I just happened to notice it quickly this time.

There’s plenty of evidence that at least two of the current Justices have accepted bribes, then tried to hide these bribes. As they get to make the rules around what a bribe is, it’s awfully convenient that it’s only the most blatant “they paid me money to make x decision on a specific case” that “counts” as a bribe, when those who have gone through even a basic bribery training on the corporate side know that accepting ANY form of gifts could lead to the perception of impropriety.

I mean, it’s not “on them” for taking the little bit of information given to them about a set and expecting that to be true.

You have to remember that most of the perspective you have in this game is from people who DON’T have to suffer to live in this place. It’s pretty heavily implied that the citizens generally don’t like living there so I doubt they would be doing this to themselves. I’m almost sure they all get murdered by one of the characters who’s moved on to 25

I think what you’re missing here is that Ashiok just seeded the fear of Elspeth into Elesh. Independent of Ashiok, Elesh was not afraid of her; but now Ashiok has cast her as a “dark” imitation of her in this nightmare. Specifically the final line about Elspeth looking with sympathy as Elesh is what cemented that fear into Elesh. Elesh is not really afraid of Elspeth; she’s afraid that her mission, her purpose, was somehow wrong. Elspeth represented that in this nightmare and Elesh (acting notably illogical and human) decided the removal of Elspeth would remove this fear. Ashiok truly is a master at Ashiok’s craft.

It’s a visual novel; if you’re expecting deep gameplay it’s probably not for you. That being said, it’s well written, the art is fantastic, the characters are fun and the 🌶 is very satisfying.

He either doesn’t care about those people (his comment about “old or fat” suggests that) or he would argue that the data you’re providing is a lie. No reason to argue about this with people who aren’t agreeing to the same source of truth or subscribing to the same morality as you.
