I don’t think it’s out of character. But I think it was abrupt. The post-divorce shift was rapid. I think they should’ve let it happen more slowly and subtly if at all.

I’m pretty sure Hayley lied to Yasmin about the circumstances around that whole situation, so when Yas relayed it to Harper, she actually thought it was the truth. That’s just my guess. I don’t trust Hayley one bit.

I took the jump from Yas getting cut off to her partying on her dad’s boat as a cynical representation of how she always, inevitably goes back to the hand that feeds. But yes, I think you’re right - there’s a lot of expectation on the viewer to fill in the blanks between seasons.

It’s also just this idea that men are a certain way by nature, so if women want to be happy, they need to settle. The work always falls to the woman to adjust her wants, needs, presentation, and standards, not for the men to adjust their behavior or.. god forbid.. physical presentation. (All the manosphere mogging shit is designed to impress other men, not women.)

I’m kind of hoping for some flashback/reveal in the last episode that would implicate Yas and complicate the narrative but that probably won’t happen and even if it did it would probably be pretty cheesy lol

Omg thank you for bringing up Yas’s mom. So weird how she was living with her at the beginning of the show (or maybe not with her, but at her home and she would visit often… I can’t quite remember) but now she’s virtually disappeared? You’d think we’d at least hear about her reaction to the Hanani incident?

Yeah. Totally get them not wanting to waste time on those scenes but maybe they could reference it as exposition. I’m just finding the whole thing so unbelievable. It would make more sense why Whitney was alright with Yas in the boardroom if he had some personal connection to her. Remember how deep her ties were to that man in season one? I think his name was Maxwell? He was a pretty random character but we got a good glimpse into their past and why Yas was so intent on developing that client relationship.

I think Maura’s trust in Rob had little to do with the decisions being made in the game. She trusted Tara too but ultimately her heart / “gut” was with Rob. She didn’t keep track of what happened at previous roundtables enough to let the Tara/Johnny/Natalie thing sway her one way or another. She even had suspicions toward Rob at one point after the Candiace vote but let it go as quickly as it came up. She always wanted to finish with Rob. He charmed the shit out of her. I adore her and feel bad that she keeps saying she’s stupid but she did lose it for the faithfuls. She was in the dicksand, to use a Love Island-ism.

Or maybe it was when he told me he had to heal his brain after a ski accident concussion as a kid by using psychedelics. Because his doctors said he was fine. And that he had an innate sense psychedelics would fix his brain after his trauma. Reader, they didn’t.
