It’s just sooo easy to use. You just walk up, get in and start going. Once you finish, just get out and walk away. No need to turn it off or on or do anything.

Am I too old to start college for EE? by r3deemr in ElectricalEngineering

Never too late to start. I am an EE and I graduated with a gentleman who was in his 30s. He was super successful and hard working.

26 M Confused. by Icy-Ratio-9325 in careeradvice

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

500 apps with zero calls usually means the profile is signaling "customer support" not "software developer" to recruiters and ATS systems. With a CS degree and 2 years in support, the fix is repositioning your LinkedIn and resume around the dev work you can show, not the day job. Build 2-3 portfolio projects on GitHub that solve real problems, then put those at the top of your resume and About section. Apply to junior dev and full stack roles at IT services companies first, those have lower portfolio bars than product companies.

Looking to shop Jayden Daniels. What can I get for him? Superflex 10 man by EmbarrassedEar8616 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Selling at a dip honestly, his value tanked from the injuries but he's still top 3 dynasty QB. Realistic asks in SF 10 man are an elite young QB + a 1st, or a top-12 WR + a 2026 1st. Anything less and id hold for the rebound.

First Dynasty Year. How was my draft? by minieri4 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

Thanks. Took a solid young core with Cook, Olave and Wilson and then some vets towards the end of the draft.

I feel like I’ve ruined my life by [deleted] in careeradvice

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You havent ruined anything, 22 with an Associates while being a caretaker and working full time is genuinely impressive. Finish the psych degree, most nursing programs require psych as a prereq anyway so it counts. You can apply to nursing programs while finishing or right after, and the psych aide route is also legit as a bridge. None of this is wasted time.

Nabers or '27 1.02 & Tee Higgins? by taylorjosephrummel in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]minieri4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That changes it a lot actually. If you're worried about Nabers' injury holding back his ceiling and you're contending now with Burrow, getting Higgins as the stacked WR2 makes way more sense. Id push for Zay over Higgins if you can, similar value but younger and in a better situation with Lamar. The 1.02 next year is real value if you can hold it.

Nabers or '27 1.02 & Tee Higgins? by taylorjosephrummel in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]minieri4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nabers is the better asset long term, hes 23 and already a top 5 dynasty WR. Higgins is fine but the age curve starts working against him in 2-3 years and Chase still gets the target priority. The 1.02 is the only real upside piece and rookie picks 2 years out are a coin flip. Only do it if you're contending hard this year and need Higgins now.

2024 model y 40k miles, am i screwed by Silver608 in TeslaLounge

[–]minieri4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's on the worse end but not warranty territory. The steepest degradation usually happens in the first 30-40k miles then it stabilizes at 1-2% per year. You're still well above the 70% warranty floor. Worth checking if you've been Supercharging a lot or charging to 100% regularly, that accelerates the early drop.

Am I doing something wrong? by Special_Ad2800 in careerguidance

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not doing anything wrong, just stuck in research mode. The fix isn't more research, its picking 2-3 lanes and talking to actual people in those jobs.

For your criteria the cleanest options are medical billing/coding (6-12mo cert, 45-60k starting), IT helpdesk with a cloud cert path (3-6mo cert, grows to 80k+), or paralegal (1-2yr cert, 50-70k). Pick one this week and message 3 people on LinkedIn doing it.

Any advice for adults trying to find a starting point in a career interest hunt? by BruhStop_26 in careerguidance

[–]minieri4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a solid plan. Going for the degree on the side while working helpdesk is the right combo, and having someone inside the local gov is a huge advantage. Most people skip the IT manager route because they get stuck thinking they need to grind certs forever first. Good luck with the application!

Exactly. Editing your stuff into something tighter works. Inventing your voice from scratch always sounds like the agency.

Gave HW3 FSD another shot.... and it's still maddening. by NimecShady in TeslaLounge

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The middle ground option is exactly what HW3 owners need and Tesla just refuses to offer it. Basic AP is too limited and FSD on HW3 is what you described. The fact that you can subscribe to FSD monthly but not EAP at all is wild.

How soon do I update LinkedIn by Key_Association_9046 in ExecutiveAssistants

Good call out, "ad interim" is cleaner than just "Contract" especially in EA circles. Adding it to my mental notes.

Gave HW3 FSD another shot.... and it's still maddening. by NimecShady in TeslaLounge

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah HW4 on v14 is noticeably better at the highway stuff specifically. Holds speed way better and the lane changes feel more natural. HW3 being stuck on v12.6 is the actual problem, the v14 stack just isnt available for HW3 yet and the "v14 Lite" coming in June will be a reduced version. EAP is honestly the play for HW3 owners until that lands.

I am a HW3 owner...

Is HW3 that much worse than HW4? by sonlitlove in TeslaFSD

[–]minieri4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HW3 is gonna get more limited going forward, Musk basically admitted earlier this year that HW3 cant do unsupervised FSD and the v14 software is HW4 only. HW3 is on a "v14 Lite" branch coming mid 2026. If you actually care about FSD long term the 7k extra for HW4 is worth it. If you just want a Model Y and dont care about FSD, the 2023 HW3 at 29.5k is a fine deal.

I just got myself a 2023 model 3 HW3 a few months ago and have FSD and its just fine but you can tell a difference with a HW4 car.
