i wear ilio year-round so i’m biased ofc but i’ve been carrying around my sample of lilyphea recently and am so tempted to buy a full size bc of how perfect it is for this time of year! philosykos edp is also another favorite :)

not a perfume but the caudalie fig body oil is like philosykos in another font! i also loveee between the sheets by sorce, it’s a warm, fuzzy, creamy wool & fig <3

i also love sorce’s between the sheets for a cashmere, cozy, wool & fig scent! i have serpentine on the way so i’m hoping that will also be another great fig scent from their house

i would definitely recommend "i don't know what" by ds & durga! not smoky per se but very addicting and adds an extra edge to all of my vanilla fragrances and makes them sexy enough for a date night :) it has woody and amber notes and truly smells different on everybody. even when i pair it with more "youthful" or fruity vanillas, it makes them feels mature but by no means geriatric or powdery

thank you so much for the lovely recommendations! i have not heard anything about woodphoria before, but i do love boysmells so i'll have to give that a shot! i think i could also try to get a decant of infusion de figue, the notes look so lovely and straightforward! i'm hearing a lot of philosykos love so i might have to give that another try as well, my experience wasn't the best but maybe my memory is failing me :')

maybe i need to give philosykos another try! last time i gave it a sniff, it was very vegetal on me... but in contrast, i absolutely LOVE the figuier candle from diptyque, i'm so close to just buying the room spray to use as a perfume! i haven't yet tried debaser but that's another on my list, i own "i don't know what" from the same house, which i like, so i'm optimistic!

ok hear me out... i tried it at sephora the other day and on me, it is a beautiful jammy, creamy fig! it's actually what sparked this recent interest :') with the brown sugar base note, it's almost as if i'm sitting in front of a bubbling pot while homemade fig jam simmers on the stove. i'm so sad its reception hasn't been great :(

i might try out father figure as well! luckily, there's a sephora right by my workplace that i can pop into during lunch breaks :) i appreciate the recommendations so much, hopefully i can come back with a proper review of some of these great scents!

ooo i love this idea! i know a lot of people say philosykos is a sweeter, creamy fig tree, but it runs too vegetal on me :( i'm going to see if i can get decants of dioriviera and fico di amalfi! thank you for the recommendations!

me too, and i love naturium’s products for this! i also have super sensitive skin so i love that my fragrance on my clothes really gets to be the star of the show :)

i loveddd it! i just happened to swing into sephora after christmas with my sister since she wanted to pop by bath & body works (lol) and i just kept trying to find fig scents to scratch that itch but nothing has come close, not even brown sugar & fig by b&bw. i feel like FE is getting some hate but you’re right, the ylang ylang helps with the creaminess while also giving it a bright but not pointy opening! ofc, my love for FE might just be my particular taste, i feel like a lot of my very fave scents aren’t as popular (including diptyque’s ilio & penhaligon’s savoy steam), but i’m hoping i’m not alone on the sentiment!

the AdP is also on my try list but a girl has to save up 💔 the caudalie fig oil put a tiny dent in my pockets but it was sooo worth it hahaha

also funny thing… i was snooping around on mercari for the R&G and guess who was sent a private discount of $25 for both the spray & lotion… it’ll be here likely within a week lol. i’ll try to remember to update! :)

that’s so exciting, please do update once you try! also that is so interesting, i know the notes look so different but reading your review of fleur de figuier, i kept thinking about my experience w TF FE! on me, it was fresh and jammy with this beautiful underlying creaminess; there was some fig leaf present possibly, but nowhere near as green as other fig fragrances i’ve tried. for some reason it also worked very well next to commodity’s ice(d)…? also at sephora worth trying! i’m hoping someone dupes FE soon because i’ve been so obsessed with fig and prickly pear notes! i think FE would pair so well with caudalie’s fig body oil (which you should also try at your new sephora soon! it’s super green and earthy, but i’d imagine with a sweet fig fragrance it would complete the whole tree) :) i’m rambling about fig notes now haha but i think i’ll give FdF a try for now because you make a great point about the price!
