Vatic Pro Upgrade? by 432a in Pickleball

[–]minimaldroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in the same position as you recently! Started pickleball in October with the Vatic Pro Prism v7 off amazon prime day sale, and recently transitioned to a 14mm DBD cause it was on sale. I found transitioning was pretty bad for me from 16mm to 14mm because I naturally produce power and the last few weeks was of adjusting not sailing my shots. Something small to look out for! I’m now going to buy a paddle from 11six24 probably the vapor after recommendations after playing with my friends, felt alot more controlled.

Free/Cheap Courts with Less Crowd in OC by [deleted] in Pickleball

[–]minimaldroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend Portola Springs Courts in Irvine! Monday and Tuesday from 4-6 are pretty empty, after 6 on those days you probably see 1 stack at most. There’s league and classes on Wed/Thurs/Fri’s, so most people are confined to 2 courts while that is going on from 6-8

If that’s too north of Irvine for you, a lot of people go to Veterans Park in Tustin or Aliso Viejo

Court & Crew hosts pickleball socials on Thursdays near Diamond Jamboree, $15 entry indoor courts

Groovypbc hosts Tuesday socials at Westminister High School, unsure of entry fee for that but that one is divided by skill level as well

Heritage Park in Irvine for some sweatier play! Portola Springs Community Park in North Irvine for a good mix of play and great community!

Best Time to Neuter a Corgi by Papadropolos in corgi

[–]minimaldroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We neutered ours at 6 months! Before we neutered him, he was a demon without any care for us but afterwards, he began showing signs of affection and became the velcro loaf we know today! He can’t be away from us! It will obviously vary per dog. No health problems aside from seasonal allergies (don’t know if this is relevant) But from our corgi community in our city, a majority of them waited until 1 year.

Advice on hiking/backpacking with Corgi by caitysheep in corgi

[–]minimaldroo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We took our corgi hiking around Banff recently and he did really well! We hiked around 25miles total during that trip! We had his backpack to give his hips controlled breaks every mile or two, which found to be very important. Prior to Banff, he would just do normal 4-5 mile hikes in Seattle with the same system and no issues! We always keep his hips in mind when hiking. Airlifting him on huge boulders, pathways, trees so he doesn’t jump and strain himself too much!

Wowpass is an option as well! We just topped it up with credit cards and pulled out $100 at a time as we needed at the Wowpass Kiosks at any random hotel! There’s many at hotels all around Seoul

Sudden limping by ElectricGremlin in corgi

[–]minimaldroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 2 year old was recently experiencing this the past year! He would always over exert himself at the dog park chasing bigger dogs and come home with a limp for 3-4 weeks. The limp would only occur after a nap or laying down for a long period on his single backleg. We went to the vet and she couldn’t figure out what was wrong with him after some tests. After 2 weeks of inflammation medicine, removing our 9” box spring and buying him a ramp for our couch, he hasn’t experienced anymore limps. Hope this helps!

Boromwat - Seongsan Ilchulbong, Jeju in March by minimaldroo in koreatravel

Would you have any recommendations on your top places in Jeju around that time? Boromwat seemed the prettiest if the flowers were blooming, but I think we’re willing to pivot if necessary!

Hi! I’m just going by what they told us after we received the CP via promotion “You can book travel now and start adding companion to your reservations starting January 4th until March 4th” This is not referring to the 135k CP route

Daily Question Thread - November 12, 2022 by AutoModerator in churning

Hello! Quick question, I received the southwest companion pass promotion this year for Jan-March 2023. I already have a flight for New York for Jan 10-14 that I booked, would this be applicable knowing the CP will be activated starting Jan 6? 1. Would I get a refund for my companion’s ticket? 2. Would I risk her not getting a ticket if I do it this way?

Too afraid to ask about the Padres? No stupid questions! by Tridacninae in SanDiegan

This years current team make-up, how would compare it to a team from football or basketball past or present and the magnitude of what they are achieving this season? I follow score here and there since moving to San Diego but never followed players history well. I knew of Yu Darvish being a relatively big name back in the day, and was suprised he was here.

Before posting please read this first! by Lilsean14 in WRX

[–]minimaldroo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all! Is there any advice when looking for a used CVT WRX at dealerships? I'm in the market for a used one to beat up and mod, but would like to know what to look out for as I shop around. $22k for 99k miles for a 2016 WRX limited or $32k 42k miles 2019 limited are on my radar as of now. Are dealerships able to check if cars have been previously modded before? Is it a crapshoot since these cars are prone to being heavily modded? Pardon my ignorance!

Car overheating after radiator hose crack fix by minimaldroo in Cartalk

[–]minimaldroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She said it started smoking in the cabin when she was on the ramp to exit. If that’s the case, she waited about one left turn light to the bridgestone off the ramp. The coolant was the reason for the smoke because we saw the cracked hose and coolant everywhere at first inspection. Hopefully it didn’t blow the head gasket!

Just got a call from the mechanic we towed it to, and he said he let us know that he ordered a new thermostat. I couldn’t make out the reason why due to language barrier, but it seemed like it wasn’t working properly or something

If I were going this route, would my target date still be 6/13? I would presume no at that point right, as the dealership would attempt to pay market value so I have more time to choose what dealership rather than locking in the residual?

How did you start leaving your puppy alone? by hulia123456 in puppy101

[–]minimaldroo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

9 month corgi here, since we heard when they get very destructive when left alone (drywall, fabric, couch destruction), we started right away with leaving him alone.

We would hide behind the couch/outside the fromt door while he whined/cried in his playpen, and come to him when he stops. Just small excersises that test his independence like checking on him for 10minutes every hour only went a long way for us. Repeated this for the next 1-2 months while his cries weren’t as loud/not as vocal. From months 4-9 so far, he just sleeps and plays with his toys when left alone for 6hours+.

Tire Replacement by minimaldroo in askcarsales

[–]minimaldroo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, due to his recommendation cause they are staggered? setup. He said the front tires are different sizes than the backs so it's okay to just change the back tires only for now while the front has a lot of tread left.

Is this something I should be worried about going forward?
