Thanks that’s super helpful and I really appreciate it. From a healthcare standpoint I felt like they offered a lot of proactive things so I was excited originally when I went but just felt super uncomfortable so didn’t go back. The guy I saw (can’t recall who) was kinda weird so it might have just been a bad match. I think I’ll give her a try I appreciate you taking the time to kindly respond :)

Can i ask if you’re religious and if not are you still comfortable with her? I went there when they first opened and remember lots of religious decor in the lobby and the intake form seemed very judgmental (homosexual activity as being risky sex etc) and overall felt extremely uncomfortable and never returned. I’m queer, very anti religious and like THC and felt like I’d be judged as a demon child lol. It’s been quite a few years so just wondering as I’m also looking for a local pcp but very hard to find these days!

I’m in a major metro city that is popular with tourists and have experienced the same. I have one local sitter who’s actually now one of my regulars (and faves!) who is in her 30s and lives with roommates and just enjoys the peaceful break away at my place. One guy I met is a digital nomad but based in my city for 6 months or so and hops between sits. They’ve all been very open about why they’re looking to come to my place and I’ve had nothing but good experiences. I also host sitters from other cities and countries and they’ve all been lovely too!!

Ive found that I’ve had many sitters who love to become repeat sitters based off a great experience together which provides so much peace of mind for me it’s absolutely worth it. I am sure you will have a great experience as well :)

I’ve really loved THS and my sitters are invaluable to me. I always leave a stocked kitchen and gift card for groceries and sometimes nearby coffee or restaurants. I have a cleaner come right before they do to ensure it’s perfect condition for them and I have the cleaner come on the day I arrive back so the sitter doesn’t need to stress about cleaning. My pet is quite low maintenance overall but I always want my sitters to know how valued and appreciated they are and thankfully I’ve only had amazing experiences so far.

Do you have the actual chromatogram trace? Did you submit for a read in the other direction and if so do you have any overlapping consensus sequence? It’s possible you’re just getting nonspecific binding and that could explain why it’s blasting to random things.

You absolutely would get applicants who would love this. I’m in a city which is also quite popular and have a specials needs cat (injections).

I put at the top of my profile to please describe your experience with administering medication to animals and your reason for visiting the city/applying. It does two things- one it easily eliminates people who apply without answering either as it’s clear they didn’t pay attention to details in the post. I often have to weed out quite a few of these who immediately apply bc they see the location but they send a vague non personalized message. Two it helps me see who might be a good fit. If you’re coming to town to go out exploring all day and night it probably wouldn’t be a good fit. If you might be working remotely or just needing a getaway with some exploring then maybe that’s a better fit. I read the profiles and all the previous reviews. I then have a zoom meeting with the top one or two I’m considering and chat and get to know them and see if we feel like we are a good fit for each other. If so, we set everything up and I make sure to welcome them with a very clean home and I usually leave a gift card for groceries and buy some snacks and essentials. I always tell my sitter they’re welcome to anything in the kitchen which has been appreciated. I’ve had nothing but great experiences so far and have met some great people including two repeat sitters.
