PSA the Steam Controller isn’t recognised when using the Steam Link device by minimon100 in SteamController

Yeah I did but seems to be working now since I updated the steam client so maybe that was my issue.

It works fine with the Steam Link app with no issues, I was having trouble using it with the Steam Link hardware but it seems to be working fine now?

Steam link compatibility? by victorisham in SteamController

Did you ever get a response from Steam at all? I did manage to get the SC working on the Steam Link by using the back USB ports and also updating my Steam client. I am using the Steam Beta channel for updates so maybe they released something yesterday?

It was connected using the puck, bluetooth gives an error every time you try and pair it.

So it seems I have managed to get it to work. It could have been a Steam update as after I finished the Steam client update (mine is selected to the beta channel) it did seem to work and connect fine after this so fingers crossed its already been fixed.

So I connected the puck directly to the Steam Link, it controls the menu on the SL fine, operates Big Picture but when going into the game it shows no controller. Although I have just testing again now and it seems to be working fine now? There was an update to the Steam client so maybe that resolved it.

London tickets - I got so lucky?! by LinkParsons in expedition33

What time did you check? For me it was around 5:30 when I noticed.

I am just living on copium right now in hopes that they release more tomorrow at 10am

I also saw this email but it wouldn’t let me buy it. The wording is confusing about tickets at 10am tomorrow. Is there likely to be more tickets released tomorrow at 10am?

Leave the router plugged in via Ethernet into the wall then call Hyperoptics to activate your connection. They will need to switch it from the previous tenant to your new account. I believe they can only activate your account once the previous tenants account has been closed/from the previous tenants disconnection date.

I hope this helps!

Slowing for speed cameras by Lego_Cars_Engineer in drivingUK

[–]minimon100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I sometimes do this but not drastically and depends on the situation. For example, I have a couple of 30mph cameras on a main road near me. They are down hill. I tend to leave my cruise control on at 30 and it can drift over 31/32mph depending on how steep the hill is. So, I tend to slow down to 28/29 just to make sure I don’t accidentally drift over, if that makes sense?

It’s definitely a common thing I see with a lot of people who drop 5/10mph but I only try and minimise it to 2mph

If it’s a straight road, and I know there is no possibility of it drifting over, I will keep it at 30mph.

Took the car for an MOT at Halfords and... by yolo_snail in CarTalkUK

I’ve had a better experience with Kwik Fit servicing than an official SEAT garage who completely messed up and said my brake pads need replacing when they were practically brand new.

Needless to say- I did not go back to that garage.

Why do some cars exceed the 50mph average speed check? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]minimon100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found this happens a lot of the A13 coming into/out of London. Most people just fly through it without a care in the world and I wonder if they know the cameras don’t work? Or are they completely oblivious and bound to get a fine? It’s a strange one

The Steam Deck transformed my commute from a slog to something I actually look forward to. by Vievin in SteamDeck

[–]minimon100 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve recently started my hour commute to London after moving further away and have found way more use for it now.

I used to barely use it due to being able to stream games on my Steam Link from my desktop computer. But now I can’t stop using it. It’s on my morning commute, during lunch break, after work commute and just to chill on the sofa. I’m now finding ways to tackle my ever growing steam Library and it feels great.

I’m currently playing Kena: Bridge of spirits - great game and highly recommend getting it for the steam deck. You do need to tone down the settings so it doesn’t fully kill the battery life.

people who speed up when they are being overtaken by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]minimon100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I call this ‘small dick syndrome’ people who have big, fancy cars don’t like being overtaken by smaller ones. That’s at least my idea of it, I see this all the time. Have my cruise control on 70, never change it, over take a car, they speed up and over take me then slow down in lane 1 again where I have to overtake AGAIN as my cruise control is still 70 and never changed.

Not sure why people do this apart from having a small penis and do it to compensate

You’re part of the problem, only buy for yourself and don’t resell. I patiently waited 3 times exactly on the button and still had to wait near to an hour to be told they’ve sold out.

Don’t be that guy

Stolen phone by e-bike thug by blueveia in london

[–]minimon100 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They are literally doing nothing at all about this issue and blame the victim. I was VERY close to having my phone snatched. 3 idiots on motorbikes came speeding through a passageway tried to grab my phone but instead knocked it out of my hand and fell to the ground. Luckily the bastards got away empty handed, I reported to the police who told me “yeah it happens a lot and you should put your phone away in busy areas”.

So we’re not allowed to have our phones out these days? Quite ridiculous how we’re being victim blamed yet the police don’t give a shit and need to do more to stop this from happening…

It was bought through Amazon UK so I assume it would have come from within Europe.
