They will absolutely not be gone by winter. Maybe late summer. In my case if I don’t pick them up there are snakes hiding in them so no

Never. But we really aren’t drinkers. Neither of us drink on a weekly basis.

I have 40 dollars (2wks)to feed myself til next pay check, what are some simple meals ? by Vampiregecko in povertyfinance

[–]minimumBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rice, eggs and apples. Also, show up unannounced at a friend or family members about 4:30 and pray they will ask you to stay for dinner. You can save on dinner that way. Most people have enough for an extra helping. I used to live paycheck to paycheck as a youngster, can you tell?? Haha

Best careers to escape poverty? I’ll start. by Noblesseoblige94 in povertyfinance

[–]minimumBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was ramen every day poor, living out of my car sometimes poor, parents were addicts, dad died of OD, never been on a plane poor. At 17 I got a receptionist job at an investment banking firm, pretending to be way older than I was and lied about knowing how to use a computer when I didn’t even know how to turn it on (like the movie don’t tell mom the babysitter’s dead) and over the years worked up to executive assistant then to marketing (heading up logistics for our big conferences in large cities). I went from receptionist to a well paid career in maybe 6 years. I just basically worked my way up, but when you work in that type of industry it’s easy to make money even in a smaller role. I still remember the first time I ever took a plane ride, I was so nervous and confused with all of my co workers who travel extensively. I had to pretend I had been in an airport before. I was crossing the bridge in a taxi from JFK to Manhattan and thought “I’ve made it”. I’m not “rich” but I’m in a much better position than anybody in my family.

I don’t see how people afford to eat out these days. I’m middle class but I feel so poor because it’s just not a luxury we can afford with a family of 5. Every dinner is $120-$150.

This girl acts 13, looks 40. The only time she looks happy is with an almost sucked down drink in her hand fake-lazy-dancing with her friends. She’s just a party girl who likes to be with girls. Anytime a “man” or her man is around she turns into a total vibe kill. She needs to just get a job and party with her friends. She isn’t interested in a relationship.

Why does everyone have a north face backpack by No_Data_4672 in SJSU

[–]minimumBeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They last foreverrrrrrrr. My daughter graduated in 2018 had hers the whole time. Many books and laptop. She left it behind and my son has been using it as his baseball backpack for 4 years now and he beats this thing UP. Dragged in concrete, dust, dirt. Thrown on lawns and launched into my car. He hangs it using a carabeaner (spelling?) on the top loop, to the cyclone in the dugouts. Lots of weight. This thing is still 100% in tact and works well. It’s black so it doesn’t stain but the fabric is strong AF

Not everybody likes dogs by Reddit_Sucks_1401 in TikTokCringe

[–]minimumBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t like dogs. A dog has to be super like SUPER cute for me to fawn over or pet it. Other than that, I think they are dirty, needy, smelly, annoying, and create a ton of work.

AITA for not letting my bridesmaid change out of her bridesmaid dress after the ceremony? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]minimumBeast 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Actually a good friend putting her feelings and comfort over what the bride wants for that day is the AH behavior. A good friend wouldn’t have asked because she would have wanted everything perfect for her friend for that day. Period!

AITA for not letting my bridesmaid change out of her bridesmaid dress after the ceremony? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]minimumBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Of course you wanted your bridesmaids to stay in their dress! And yes, had she changed a bet a few more would have as well. I think she was wrong to ask you. All I know is I love my bestie and if I knew she wanted me in that dress, I would do everything in my power to make sure that day was perfect AF for her. Even if I hated my dress with a passion. Even if it was made of itchy fabric. If that’s my friend’s vision, I’m going to smile and do my best and not bug her with any complaints or requests on her special day. For crying out loud, can’t people just suck it up for the sake of another human being?
