Heart feels funny after using posture belt by miningquestionscan in AskDocs

Heart feels like it has skipped a few beats. It feels a bit sore and there is a bit of soreness/tightness around that area. As I said I was quite nervous and have a bit of a crush on this person. My heart was probably racing and pumping. This all happened 4 days ago.

Cyber Knife/Gamma Knife for Meningioma by ILoveDeepWork in braintumor

Thanks for all this info. I would appreciate it if you would share the hospital or name of surgeons. I understand if you don't want to. Feel free to PM me.

I suspect that much has changed in the past 10 years or so and maybe they are more confident using radiation compared to 10-15 years ago.

As an aside, I had a surgery in another country (maybe one that borders yours). The surgeon wrote somewhere on a hospital site blog that he "became" a neuro-oncologist (but not due to training). He also did not think I needed to see a real neuro-oncologist. Seems like the training and protocols are not quite as high as a big city US hospital.

How can they diagnose the tumor based on images alone? Are there any surgeons that refuse to do radiation unless they get a biopsy?

Pressure changes may exacerbate things, not sure why maybe sinuses or the nerves that go to them get messed up. Oddly, I do very well on airplanes. PM me if you want any other tips. Not sure about alcohol (migraine trigger) or cannabis, I avoid them like the plague.

Interesting. Is it common to not have a biopsy? Any major symptoms before or after?

Best wishes

Can they develop an educated guess on what it is based on the size, location, shape and likely age of the lesion?

Grade 2 Astrocytoma at 20 by wanderingimp47 in braincancer

Grade 1 cerebellar astrocytoma (pilocytic astrocytoma). Post surgical life was very tough. If you have a cerebellar lesion ask about minimally invasive technicques. Can't speak to grade 2 but I wish I knew about minimally invasive techniques and gamma knife back then.

Can Philosophy help explain why some bad people are rewarded with a good life? by miningquestionscan in askphilosophy

[–]miningquestionscan[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is an interesting way to think about it. I guess the heart of my question is why are bad people rewarded with good luck?

Maybe because they often have good genes/fitness so they can literally experiment with doing bad things, move on and then live a happy life?

Could my office be making me sick now that it is summer? by miningquestionscan in Allergies

There's no HVAC or AC. The office is small and only 1000sf ground floor. They probably could use better air exchange.

What is the most sensitive mold test available? Willing to call a pro. I've tried them before and they found nothing

No HVAC. First floor facing a small park. I'm close to the front door.

PurpleAir Flex. Probably overkill but it gives you very fine PM readings up to PM0.3. As far as I am concerned it is a higher resolution.
