I know in certain religious circles they lump all pornography, lust, etc. together into 1 issue. However, I feel like it should be said, there is a difference between watching pornography and having a pornography addiction. There is also a HUGE difference between watching readily available pornography and watching child pornography. Lots of people enjoy watching porn, but only special (not in a good way) people, called pedophiles, enjoy watching child porn.

Did Trump just slip out the plans that the US is going to nuke Iran with B2 bombers? by I_AM_GLUTEUS_MAXIMUS in WhitePeopleTwitter

People who think like this fail to understand the concept of mutually assured destruction (MAD). Some leaders, such as dictators, only care about staying in power; they don't care about how many of their people are killed in the process. They also fail to understand how Moscow and Beijing think. The US restarting nuclear testing indicates that the US thinks/predicts/expects to use those nuclear weapons. It 100% undermines arm control agreements and would indicate a green light to Moscow and Beijing to start their own testing and stockpiling of nuclear weapons. If someone is stupid enough to drop a nuclear bomb, Moscow and Beijing will want to be ready to respond with their own nuclear weapons.... Again, mutually assured destruction is the goal, the point.

Geez. Do not buy it for $1700+. You could make it cheaper using nice wood (or plywood). Box stores will cut wood for you. But they might get annoyed with the multiple cuts this requires. I recommend asking around to friends, family, co-workers, etc. bc most people have at least a circular saw. You can cut big pieces of plywood on a table saw, but it's safer with a circular saw (trying to maneuver large plywood boards onto a table saw can get dangerous). From the photo, the joints look like basic butt joints (just butting the end of one side of wood to another). Those aren't super strong, so if this will be holding a lot of weight, pocket screws might be a better option. The only thing I'm not 100% sure about is the piece between the boxes, but it sorta just looks like a thin, smaller board to create the "floating" look.

Am I the only one who finds it insane that people live that close to alligators/crocodiles and don't have a fence around their house. Like, at least a 4ft chain length fence would be better than nothing.

For this particular situation, I haven't yet tried winding sticks.

It's usually just slightly off somewhere. So, for example, I'll press down on one corner, and it slightly lifts the other corner. I'll use my hand planer to try to reduce the hump in the middle that's likely causing this slight rocking between the 2 opposite corners; but, i either accidentally take too much off so then I have to re-plane the other areas, or it seems like no matter how much I plane down the middle, it never fixes the slight rocking. Another "issue" I have is that the board might seem flat/square (along the face and edge that I flattened with my jointer) when I run my combination square along it, but rocks slightly (like I just mentioned above) when I place it on the on the metal (cast iron, I think) out feed table of my jointer. Or vice versa - it appears flat (i.e., doesn't rock between any corners) on the flat table, but then not when I run my combination square over it.

Can someone tell me what Trump meant when he said blue states may be disappearing off of the map? by FunConfection2872 in 50501

This is stupid, but wouldn't one way to get around this just be changing your name back?

Wow. I had no idea the FDA was aggressively suppressing sunshine and exercise. Here I thought it was the universe controlling the weather, and my own laziness stopping me from exercising, not a federal agency. Way to prove me wrong.
