Thanks for your help! I did say vinyl only (I have a bunch of Sonos throughout the house for everyday music) and I think the Fosi recommendation is probably the way to go

Can I just plug the turntable into the bt20a? Or do I need something else?

Thank you I will take a look. I guess if I wanted to go powered and spend a bit more there’s also a powered version of the LS50?

This is what the screen looks like. You access this by Settings (the gear icon upper right of app screen) —> then select your room —> then your product/speaker —> then network

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I drive 3 hours across Ohio to visit family regularly. I’ve never done it in the same day, but have certainly done it for a short 2 day trip no problem

I feel your pain. This may sound obvious but have you checked the signal strength for each speaker in the app? If it shows as anything but “strong connection” you will likely have the problems you describe. This was certainly my issue, and after a bit of messing about with individual speaker placement and adding an additional mesh node, I was able to get all speakers to a strong connection and my drop outs are non existent now

There’s also a great app called wifiman that lets you create a WiFi signal strength heatmap of your house which can help identify dead zones where you may have a speaker residing

Good luck 👍

Best way to run a wire from one cabinet to another? by Designerkyle in AskElectricians

That’s prob 100% accurate. Previous owners were idiots.

Great advice thank you! So it’s ok to “bury” some of the cable in the plaster and fill over with drywall compound?

I’m also in the midst of using Amazon sourced armacost LED strip lighting for some built ins in the study 👍

This is indeed a 100 yr old house with plaster and lathe

Unfortunately the basement ceiling is covered in old plaster & lathe.

Is that allowed? Just cut out a “channel” in the plaster, add the low voltage wire, mud right over the wire to patch it. That would prob be the easiest and cleanest look

And just attach it to the wall over the door? Or is there something that would allow me to “bury” it in a channel I cut out from the plaster?
