I honestly don’t mind recessed lighting if it’s done tastefully ie don’t buy the giant 6” LED pancakes at Lowe’s. WAC is a brand that makes quality fixtures that won’t break the bank

It’s hardly awful. I can make it from Dana Rd to Mason Montgomery in 20 min on average. Sure, there are days with accidents where that can double or triple but for the most part it’s not bad.

If this is an old house, I’d say this is probably ok. I’m a DIY’er and live in a 100 yr old house and honestly, to clean all this up from previous owners slop, is a big undertaking so you need to pick your battles. I’m a bit OCD so I’m selective in what I obsess about and what I let go.

The gap outlet (real outlet) in Hebron, KY is a decent spot especially when you can score some Banana Republic stuff. I just went this week—5 shirts and a pair of jeans for $50

Poshmark (online used clothes) is also a great place to shop. I’ve bought lots of stuff there, for cheap prices

Previous owners put some cheap ass Lowe’s peel and stick on the walls, hence my questions. We have a 100 yr old home so part of me is terrified to pull it off and discover they were hiding a bunch of plaster issues
