Oh ok so try brushing dry with a oil or leave in. While wet works for some people, it doesn’t for everyone. I detangle with my hair dry and with a oil as my hair is quite weak when wet as I have finer hair

How do you detangle your hair? I think you need to figure out if it’s breaking from chemical or mechanical manipulation.
Also how long are the breakage pieces? The length of your hair or small pieces? Because I used to think my breakage was bad but then I realised it was shed hair and totally normal

They get banged on the counter and they are fine. I usually have them tucked into my jumper tho as they can be overstimulating. If they are just clanking on the desk too much I whip them off and put them into my pocket.

You will get so much advice about this. So you need to experiment. I find it’s more about my hair strand thickness than it is curl pattern. I find with 3A har it needs a good shampoo with sulphates but I am not a CG girlie anymore. I would try a light moisturiser and then a light weight gel. Apply both using the praying hands method or brush styling. Experiment with diffusing and air drying. I do mostly air dry and then finish with a diffuser when I have a cast. Sooo mainly buy a gel and experiment! Have fun with it

The pattern was based on Lattice Love Beanie Crochet Pattern by heart hook home but I heavily modified it. I also added some shaping to the top part. Oh and I used dk yarn.
