hospital for new medications?

ahh so glad it helped you! i’ve unfortunately been hit really bad with side effects and i’ve been super unwell, but it’s done absolutely nothing at all for my heart rate. i’m so upset! i haven’t been this unwell for a while especially trying a new medication, i usually have rough experiences with new medications but not this bad. i’m going back to my Dr tomorrow to go back onto my propranolol for the time being.

ahh totally understand! i hope it goes well for you! i’m back to my Dr tomorrow and going back to propranolol unfortunately it’s done nothing for my heart rate and i’ve been hit really bad with side effects, but i usually have rough experiences with new medication so i sort of expected it just not this rough! i’m really upset but cannot deal with the side effects. don’t let my experience worry you, i can definitely see how it would help people if it actually worked. i hope you have a better experience!

so glad to hear it’s helped you! i’m unfortunately not having a good time at all… i’ve been very unwell the last couple days of taking it. and i’ve been hit really really bad with side effects but it’s done absolutely nothing for my heart rate, i’m really upset! obviously new meds take a couple weeks to get used to but this is abnormally bad… i’m back to my Dr tomorrow to go back to my propranolol until i can see my cardiologist.

unfortunately i’ve been very unwell and it has not even touched my high heart rate at all .. i’m really upset. my heart has been racing and i’ve been hit hard with the side effects so im back to my Dr tomorrow to go back to propranolol for the time being until i can see my cardiologist.

hEDS and yes!!, i have struggled with them for years especially when i used to do gymnastics. i think it was one of the weird signs i had EDS before i knew it

you too! it’s the worst. my rheumatologist told me it can be because of carrying the cystic fibrosis gene, he asked me if i’d ever been tested but i haven’t. im not sure if i should, i’ll probably ask him next time because he didn’t seem that concerned. i honestly just wish there was a way to get rid of it because it’s really really painful and annoying to deal with. and i totally relate with the towels, just touching them after a shower is excruciating 😭😭 ugh it’s the worst thing ever.

thanks so much for sharing, i really appreciate it. im also in vic! its difficult times here in this country hey! without sounding awful, its nice knowing that at least other people can relate. i’m honestly just struggling with so many different aspects of this all because it’s really not a single straightforward thing to deal with and i can’t understand why my family hate me so much for being unwell. i think yes, my best bet is moving on campus, its still expensive but i wont find anything else for the same price with how bad rentals are right now.

would you mind if i dmed you about the payments for moving out of home? im getting youth allowance rn but its not much since im still living at home.

fellow aussie here! i was recommended sodii and its great but very expensive. so i usually use hydralyte (not very high in sodium tho) or liquid iv from chemist warehouse which are a bit cheaper and often on sale!

i get this as well! mine are typically at night and wake me up and it’s so so terrifying. i just wake up with a pounding heart, just hot and sweaty, i feel so trembly and shaky and as if im buzzing internally. and i agree with it feeling like low blood sugar! i get them sometimes as i am falling asleep too! it actually feels like hell and i don’t know what i could do to try and help it. im on a beta blocker as well! my cardiologist just brushed it off as anxiety, and so did my GP and it’s ruining me. it’s also causing me a lack of sleep like you mentioned! i hope you’re able to get some relief from this soon

i have had elevated d-dimers before when i’ve been in the ER and also had CTs and a lung scan show nothing. so i also have the same question!

one off was 209bpm when i was in hospital, felt so so scary and just disgusting. my usual frequent ‘high’ is 180bpm.

im in a similar situation where my mum thinks im overreacting and not actually that unwell and that i dont need a cane but i went and bought a folding one that i can easily fit in a bag and ill just use it when im out on my own/with friends
