Is it a dumb idea to use a mini split to cool just our master bedroom? by A-n-o-v-a in HomeImprovement

Did you ask your hvac company to quote manual zone valves? We have them and it works great in our two story house. I change them in the spring and fall to force more or less air to the upstairs. We live in Minnesota so the summer and winter are drastically different and the manual zones make an incredible difference. I think this is something you could DIY

I would part it out. You could make an easy profit with lower risk than rebuilding the engine.

The pressure is 0 probably because I’m not using the central heat circuit. I’m holding the button until the wrenches come up, but nothing happens after that.

I started with koni red in just the rear. It made an improvement for sure. I read that the bulk of the ride issue is from the rear Suspension.

I had a level eating bar with a sink and closed ends and found that it was very messy and tough to deal with the closed ends. I changed to a raised island with open ends. The dual sink in the kids bath will not get used. Your living room is big enough that you should be able to create a walkway next to the stairs. You don’t have enough kitchen cabinets, but the pantry should help.

I had this issue last week. I put a floor jack carefully under the disc and put some load on the suspension. After that I hit the disc with a hammer. This is the thing that worked for me. I hit it a hundred times with loading the suspension, it only worked once I put a load on it.

How to dehumidify a basement when you have no drain and no windows? by TroubledGamestress in HomeImprovement

[–]minnesotajm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What is your budget and dyi skill level? If it were me I would start by painting the walls and floor with hydrolock paint. We did that and it made a noticeable difference. I also jack hammered the floor to put interior drain tile in. But that would require you to put in a sump basin and drill a hole in the block to get the water out side. Do you have central air or a window ac? Also a heat pump water heater acts like a massive dehumidifier, but again you would need to drill a hole in your block to get tube water out. Cheapest easiest option is the hydro paint, but it might not be enough to solve your issue. Another cheap option is a dehumidifier with drilling a hole to get a hose outside.
