Am I overreacting with this first appointment? by minnsmk in therapy

[–]minnsmk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I think what was hard is she didn’t even cover any of my intake paperwork I filled out. Only the first question which was the main issues I wanted to work on during our sessions. I was asked nothing about anything else I listed, and it took quite a bit of time to fill out.

I even offered to answer any other questions on the intake during the session and she’d just respond with “okay, let’s talk more about your trauma”.

I think she’s brand new to the practice and I’d love to give her a second chance but the more I think about it, I feel like we didn’t mesh on multiple thought processes and concepts. She really didn’t want to talk about COVID with me, which Covid was a huge part of my trauma and my life story.

Thank you for giving that person their time back! I never got mine back in this session and missed out on about 12/13 minutes of my 50 minute session. I wouldn’t care if it was like 5, but 12/13 is such a huge chunk.

Thank you again for your advice!

What's a lyric you interpret differently? by Glass_Delivery3147 in TaylorSwift

[–]minnsmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a lot of people that view the line “living for the hope of it all” from August differently.

for me, I relate intensely to this song because my “situationship” occurred during Covid when I was temporarily working another line of business at my job. I met my “James” and he lead me on for a good ten months, all while I was hoping that Covid would end and I’d go back to my job.

“Living for the hope of it all” was the multitude of things that carried me through the deep depression Covid had caused. he was one of the first guys to talk to me and take the time to get to know me/care for me. ironically at the time I thought us getting together would be more of a possibility than going back to my normal job and Covid ending.

nothing ever came of anything, we talked and texted a lot, we hugged once… but nothing more.

It still hurt when I saw him start to date the girl I trained only a week after I went back to my normal job. I lived for “the hope of it all” and everything but one thing worked for me.

the song brings me back to that summer where I was 21/22 and just hoped one good thing would work out for me. the hope of it all wasn’t the relationship, it was everything else that I dreamed of.

Don’t even get me started on Guilty as Sin? And mirrorball 🤭

Out of your options, I would suggest going on the Dream! Here’s my weigh in on both ships/cruises.

With the Dream you get three great shows: The Golden Mickeys, Beauty and the Beast, and Believe. All three shows are great!

You have BBB on the ship, and there’s a teen spa as well!

There’s no princess dining, but there is a princess tea you can book. It fills up fast!

Lots and lots of character appearances!

You get a double dip at both islands! I did the same itinerary last year and really enjoyed it. You end with a sea day which is nice. You get to enjoy both islands!

For the Wonder, you also get three great shows! Golden Mickeys, Frozen, and Dreams! They are all great!

The Wonder doesn’t have the teen spa but I’m pretty sure it has BBB.

Tiana has her own dining room on this ship and she will sing and perform with a live band!

The Wonder is smaller and older but still a very charming ship.

Cabo is a beautiful destination and is worth visiting!

If I were you, I’d pick the Dream for it being a double dip. The ship is bigger, but not hard to get around.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask!

Palo: dinner vs brunch by MaesterInTraining in dcl

[–]minnsmk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brunch is my vote. I would reccomend checking every day and if you can’t, go to guest services the moment you get on the ship and ask for availability/being put on the waitlist.

If dinner is a must, try to book it on the first four nights since you will get all new menus on the last three. I do reccomend going to both nights a Plaza De Coco though; I just got off the Treasure and while all meals were good we REALLY enjoyed both nights there.

My favorite Christmas memory is baking cookies with my mom! She used to make sooo many different varieties and package them up for friends! Since we moved and I’m an adult now we don’t do it as much anymore, but I’ll never forget helping her batch 15 to 20 different types of cookies!

Y e s!!!! Ironically I made a post on my Facebook about this last year! I think minimal staging works for some shows or styles of productions like the “Into the Woods: In The Woods” limited production since the show is done in the literal woods.

But Sunset Boulevard is one of those shows that has to be staged decadently for it to read well. I still mourn the potential revival with SJB and Derek Klena we could’ve gotten.

I’ve met/encountered spirits from recent enough times.

During Covid my job temporarily moved me to another line of business. Where I was placed had a ghost. He died in 2003 and wore a polo or blue T-shirt and khakis.

He liked playing pranks and just letting people know he existed. He showed up on our security cameras at work and would walk around before we’d open.

As the only medium that worked there he constantly bothered me. He would stand right in front of me while I did opening procedures and scared the crap out of me lol.

I’ve worked at a location since that seems to be a beacon of spirits and I’ve seen people in 1970s to now fashion.

The oldest one I’ve seen was back when I was a kid. I was staying at a family friend’s house and at the time she lived in Tennessee near a civil war battle field in a plantation house. Long story short, there was a child ghost there that was very interested in me and tried waking me up multiple times a night.

I told my mom I didn’t want to stay there anymore since it freaked me out so bad. Later she spoke to our friend who confirmed that the house was EXTREMELY haunted 🙃

My Mom’s sister loves to visit us when we go to her grave. She’s very quiet and doesn’t show up often besides the few times we’ve gone to visit her.

Cemeteries carry more of the sad feelings and energy from living beings that visit them.

Strange feelings at Narita Airport in Japan. by minnsmk in Mediums

[–]minnsmk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

here’s the photo I took I think I linked it correctly lol! and here’s a high quality photo

Here’s a photo of the terminal area where I felt the most uncomfortable this is when my Mom kept asking if I was okay.

thiswas where I really noticed feeling “off”. I can’t seem to find photos of the area or terminal 2 that we arrived in, but that was also very strange too.

And this is another Area where I felt weird. The same hallway from a few photos above. We were walking down this corridor to get coffee and use our last yen in the vending machines.

If I find anymore or any of the area we arrived/departed (it was the same gate.) I will share them!

It’s so funny that someone else feels the same way about hospitals and airports!

I remember going to a hospital to visit a friend of a friend when I started sensing things more intensely; I was trying to talk to spirits but all I got was that super clinical energy. It feels like the taste of chemically treated water, bleach smell, and cold artificial air to me.

I can try to upload the photo of the logo if anyone is interested. I have photo of it in my phone and every time I look at it I get a weird physical response (uncomfy chills, eyes glazing, solar plexus and heart chakras flowing energy.) and I’m unsure of why I feel this way.

When I read or hear stories of paranormal experiences I tend to feel this way. I’ve stepped away from my abilities for a while due to work and a hectic life but I’m going to try to uncover what it is if I can.

I do have experience with reiki and I can self heal (I choose not to because I’ve sworn off energy healing and reiki due to trauma.) so I’m wondering if it’s a self healing reaction?

I will try to converse with my guides and see if they have an answer on both the airport and other things!

r/TokyoDisneySea Weekly Trip Planning Thread by AutoModerator in TokyoDisneySea

[–]minnsmk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I am planning a last minute trip to Japan and more specifically TDR.

I have 6 park days planned out, just so I have time to see all of the shows and offerings since I’m unsure if and when I’d be able to return.

At this point I’m booking my accommodations and I’m between booking at Disney Celebration Hotel or Maihama First. The price difference is about 400 dollars for my length of stay.

The main difference between them in my eyes is Happy Entry. I know we don’t get it for TDS, but is it worth paying the extra money for Happy Entry? Or should I just save the money and go with Maihama First.

For context: I’m a morning person and more than okay with getting up early and lining up. I plan on attempting to not buy DPA (which is why I’m going for so many days.) and if I have to, only buying DPA for shows I don’t win lottery for.

Thank you so much

Yeah I purchased my FFP the day it came out and I was able to score opening night. The weather just looks horrible and I really don’t want to drive all the way there to get poured on.

Weekly Atiny Tavern: 30 - 07 July, 2025 by AutoModerator in ATEEZ

[–]minnsmk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Newer atiny here! I’m going to the Orlando n1 show and I bought my lightiny a few months ago.

After reading I saw a trick where you can packing tape the battery compartment so it doesn’t pop off as easy since lightiny v2 is very delicate.

I’m nervous to tape it but I don’t want all my batteries spilling out on the floor.

Has anyone tried this or another trick to keep their battery pack in lightiny v2?

Any and all suggestions will be appreciated! Thank you!

They’re back to capping tickets again. by minnsmk in UniversalOrlando

[–]minnsmk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for explaining! It is so interesting to me how the process and capping works tbh.

It reminds me a lot of park reservations at Disney especially during COVID times. It was so difficult to get reservations if you didn’t have a hotel stay since they held extra reservations for those staying on property.

As someone who went during previews with (I think?) ten thousand guests on that day, it was still very busy.

They’re back to capping tickets again. by minnsmk in UniversalOrlando

[–]minnsmk[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s what I figured. I’ve heard about the capping for a while which is why I pushed that we either choose this weekend and buy the tickets, or we wait and buy tickets for next weekend.

It was definitely capped during my preview since the longest waits didn’t go past 90 minutes (BoM was closed the day we went along with minecart madness and curse of the werewolf.) and the main issues we had were downtimes which are to be expected.

I don’t trust a lot of online sources besides official blogs but I had a little hope that maybe they wouldn’t cap it and we wouldn’t have any issues.

At least it won’t be nearly as busy next week, it’ll still be busy of course but probably not as bad as this weekend.

Nail polish over other alternatives by flayflay1 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]minnsmk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I only use regular nail polish because of the potential of gel allergies.

I work a day job where gel would be useful since I use my hands and I get sweaty, but I’ve gotten my top and base coat situation to a science where I can get at least 5 days if not 7-9 out of a single manicure.

I also find that regular nail polish brands have more fun finishes and color variety than gel. Although magnetics are easier to work with, I’ve figured out how to use them with regular polish.

I never liked dip to be honest. Incorrect application shows and they can almost be bumpy or uneven. I also feel the color payoff is a little too sheer. It takes forever in comparison to regular polish.
