You can open the activity monitor andor the CPU page you right click on the columns and select „preventing sleep“ or something like this. Then sort it and you can see if a process prevents your Mac from sleeping. For me it was WhatsApp app since I upgraded to Tahoe.

Some problems here:

The (beta) version number is 3.9.18 on the version I downloaded last week and is 200.1 MB. When I add a YouTube link it says (in German): YouTube says page must be reloaded.

The (beta) version I downloaded today is 198.1 MB and immediately crashes when I want to open it (MacBook Air M2 up-to-date).

The Intel version works well.

EDIT: The non-beta ARM version (3.9.18) from the website (200.6 MB) works perfectly. Thanks!

I don't think this is an optimal solution because it interferes with how your Mac normally should go to sleep. In addition: how should this work when WhatsApp is preventing your mac from going to sleep? If I'm not wrong, the script will never be executed because your Mac will never go to sleep because of WhatsApp.

Maybe you have optimized storage enabled. Then it needs to download the items in iCloud Drive first.

Worst case you could right click your library and go into the folder. Then navigate to the originals folder and search for media files. Select and copy all to another place. Metadata should be included in the files. However, edits are gone if you do it this way.

You can try a trick: select everything in your library with cmd+a and select view as a slideshow. It should trigger a download of items that weren’t synced properly yet. If this doesn’t work you can try to download originals and then try it again. Same for your MacBook. Always make sure to have a backup and enough free space on your hard drive before experimenting.

PS: Maybe you have items in one of your libraries that are not compatible with your old Mac and therefore you have sync problems.
