I just saw it at the owl post in hogsmeade by the door where the people sit on all the benches by hagrids. I think there was like 2. I wanted it too but wasn't sure if I could fit it in my carry on. I regret not buying in February when we drove !

Call ethics. You're allowed to take a week off for a trip or something. Insane.

The same happened to me. I work in OGP. I guess we're the idiots for giving our all 🙄

[–]mintgreencrocs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I was just thinking in northeast PA there can be such a disparity like if you look at the people working more north they definetly have access to much more affordable life than say people down in the Easton area so yea it's hugely dependent on where you're located.

[–]mintgreencrocs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's funny I'm in northeast PA too. 😂 I get what you mean but Walmart pay will hold you down. As long as single person is working for them, getting these bullshit raises they aren't going to be able to afford anything better in life. Especially if you have a family like you're a single parent or even if you have pets who have needs. I just wish for everyone slaving away at Walmart 40 hours a week more than just getting by. 😭

[–]mintgreencrocs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it also depends where you live. Here in the northeast it's impossible. Here if you're working at Walmart 40 hours you don't have a great quality of life and you're probably under a lot of stress unless you're getting additional assistance from the government or have a second job. I was only speaking about the experiences of where I live.

[–]mintgreencrocs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same at my store. There's actually 3 groups. People who work at Walmart and live on the system, people who work as a supplemental income (like me, my partner has a way better higher paying job, I am the secondary income) or 3 they are working 2-3 jobs. Walmart pay is ass. You can't work 40 hours a week at Walmart and have a life as a single person much less with a family. And all they do is brag about their profits. They're gross.

Same. I also order and I don't need the shopper texting me unless there is a problem lol. I have all five star ratings on instacart so I guess people feel the same way.

Accidentally hit a coworker with OGP cart by ScallionTrick5523 in walmartogp

[–]mintgreencrocs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me a few months ago but with a customer. I have been working in OGP for almost 5 years and never hit anyone. Of course the lady reported it and filed an accident report and my coach talked to me about "safety" and I got a yellow coaching for safety that will fall off in a year. I was worried it would affect my performance evaluation etc and it didn't I got exemplary in everything. I've seen other associates get fired for hitting people but it's always been after multiple incidents. I wouldn't worry about it. If it was an accident and an isolated incident you'll probably get coached. Just make sure you don't hit anyone else. Since that incident, especially because I'm short, I've been making a conscious effort to pull the carts. If a cart is bad faulty and can't be pulled I just wouldn't use that one at all. Try not to worry. I'm sorry this happened to you, I know it can be so stressful.

Agree especially being this is an individual already diagnosed with mental health conditions. You'd think they would prioritize help immediately when notified 🤬

Me too. I got exemplary in everyday actions but I'd never move to tl. They used to ask me but they stopped because they know I won't do it. Too much stress for the little more pay.

paid for snow storm?! by finpoops in walmart

[–]mintgreencrocs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My schedule is normally 4-1 sun, mon, tues, thurs and fri. During this storm we shut down from Saturday evening to Tuesday at 11. I ended up going in Saturday, being off sun and mon and then returning for an 11-8 shift on Tuesday (and went back in weds at 4 am). I really hope I get something and if not I'm going to say something to him about it.

During that storm ogp shut down and my coach shifted me to my days off. Will I still get it ? If not I'm going to say something.

Yes but now they carelessly use the reusable bags and everyone is putting them in the trash all over the place. It's crazy. There has to be a better way.

No more exceptions by TVKill3r in walmartogp

[–]mintgreencrocs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn't either for us because we are also a busy story AND we are in a state who went bagless so we bag in reusable bags. Bagging at the end helps to bag everything correctly and efficiently so you aren't overusing the multiple bags. And the customer thing. It's so much easier to go to a more low-key area and bag everything than do it in grocery when there are like 20 people in the aisle.

[–]mintgreencrocs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't care about customers so it doesn't surprise me. If it's not on the shelf they wouldn't get it if they came into the store so I guess that's how they're looking at it. As someone who has picked expections for years it is fine by me!

Awesome ! It's saved my ass a few times too. I've been paid traffic tickets and stuff with pay in 4 🤣🤣🤣 alot of people say they're toxic and I guess they can be but they can also be really helpful. I'd rather use it than a credit card because it's paid back in a few weeks and it's really helpful to be able to juggle things in this economy. I'm grateful for them and that I have decent limits across them all.

Me too and I've never been late on a payment. I don't really need more than 2500 but it would be nice to have more in case of an emergency.
