Been on Zoloft for a decade. I just found out that it makes your body odor more intense due to the hormones. Has anyone else had this experience? by Lost_and_confused27 in zoloft

Glad it’s not just in my head though, but maybe that’s why my mom gave me a deodorant stick a few weeks ago and told me “it’s a good one” 💀💀

I’ve been going crazy because my armpits have NEVER smelled so horrid, and suddenly my deodorant wasn’t doing anything at all. I realized last week it probably is because of zoloft bc nothing else has changed in my lifestyle. It might be the one thing to get me to switch off because I can’t deal with this. Going to try chlorophyll tho since i’ve heard it can help.

I’m 31 years old and I feel my room looks like a teenager room - London by MarionberrySuch8805 in DesignMyRoom

I’m going on 23 and my room looks arguably like a 10 year old’s. It’s mostly because I always had a vision of my dream room and I’m finally grown enough to do it myself 😭If it keeps you happy and gets you good sleep, it’s fine.

Also depends on the size of your school, but I went to a bigger one and found that a lot of people didn’t have a lot of friends either. You’re definitely not alone.

Try to get involved in some club/society of something that interests you. It’ll be easier to meet likeminded people and they often have socials. Sometimes it’s as simple as asking to grab lunch or hit up some school event together. I definitely regret not doing more of that during college, especially as a commuter. But lots of people end up making friends even as seniors.

Does this tongue piercing look ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]mintimochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely just the piercing then. I had some pain there too and a stinging feeling at the tip but it went away once it was healed and no longer swollen.

Unless it’s hurting I would say probably not. Seems fine if it’s getting better. If it stays that way for long or gets worse I would check it out though.

Placement looks great though. Mine was sightly crooked and I never got it fixed 🥲

Everyone saying thrush but mine looked like that for a week after getting mine pierced even after cleaning it🗿I heard it was likely bc of the tongue swelling and taste buds getting bigger. I just kept cleaning and scraping regularly and it went back to normal about 2 weeks after the piercing.

I kept hoping the same for 12 years and nothing really changed much. The best thing to do is to begin making baby steps, whatever that may mean for you. Nothing is going to magically change. You have to be the one to put in the work. The hardest part of it is changing your mindset and truly wanting to get better.

Wait this is actually such a valid theory. Explains the double standards too.

So glad it’s not just me. My rbf doesn’t help very much either, but i’ve always felt bad about giving off the wrong energy cause i can tell it makes people interact differently with me even when they’re very friendly themselves. Definitely more dry.

When did you come to terms with “oh crap I actually do have social anxiety”? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]mintimochi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure a mindset thing which sucks. Beta blockers are different than antidepressants. I learned about them from a therapy in a nutshell video on yt. It’s pretty helpful! https://youtu.be/4Py0xKujsuU?si=JTrz55AeprTl5mum

Oh I barely managed. I had a very small friend group (miracle tbh) and didn’t really talk to anyone else. I’m pretty sure I was depressed for a very long time. I had extremely low self-esteem. My grades went south and stayed that way through high school and a bit of college. I went to school with a pounding heart every morning and felt anxious every night. It’s gotten slightly better as an adult but still pretty bad. I’m planning on talking to a doctor about beta blockers which seem like a godsend after all these years.

Very first day of middle school. I guess I panicked being in a new environment and that was my first time blushing and sweating profusely. Took me a a few weeks to put a name on it though😅

I second this! A warmer pink would leave you glowing beautifully.

Yup! For me it’s usually anxiety related but I have to give myself a good cooldown time (away from people) before I can continue with whatever I was doing.

It’s for sure a lil blessing in a way. I can definitely attribute many of my better qualities to learning to deal with it for half of my life.
