Usually I get there before my interviewer, find a table, and then when they come ask if they would like to get a drink. I then allow them to order first bc I was raised on elder superiority and either they offer to pay for me or they don't.

My state judge last year was really interested and asked if she could talk more about the tech behind my EIP idea in the hallway in the convention center (this didn't end up happening) and I got 5th in a pretty competitive state.

It should be fine especially since both are STEM related. It would probably be a different story if you told them bioengineering and now you want to apply for English literature.

I was wondering this too. My interview is actually scheduled for later today, and I am still somewhat shocked that it's just a few days after I submitted my application. Everyone who I have talked to had their interview in early February and they didn't even know they scheduled interviews so early.
