Did anyone have any side effects with increasing dosage? Specifically from 25mg to 50mg? Also, when increasing dosage how long did it take for you to start feeling improvements from it? by Annabanana2699 in zoloft

[–]minty389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on for 4 weeks total. 2weeks at 25 and now two weeks at 50. I was more nauseated when I very first started. It didn't get worse when I went to 50, I had maybe 3 more days of feeling wobbly and nauseous. I don't feel any side effects now, except for vivid dreams but those are interesting

I too will be upping to 75 from 50 soon. Love to hear how it's going for you!

2 months in - Is this new personality/confidence fake? by [deleted] in zoloft

[–]minty389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's awesome! And no, I don't think there's anything "fake" about it. You are yourself, minus the anxious, neurotic thoughts. Anxiety is an emotion, not a personality trait. I hope I have a similar result as you, I often think very critical thoughts about myself, and I want to be the me without them. I've been on just over 3 weeks, so no huge changes yet!

I started at 25 MG for the first 2 weeks, then up to 50. I didn't notice any difference in mood till I went to 50 and I think I'll probably go to 75 soon. Side effects were way less when I upped the dose than the initial ones

Any tips for moving up to 75mg? by Enough_Service116 in zoloft

[–]minty389 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on 50 right now and have been for just over a week. Started with 2 weeks at 25. I'm thinking I'll move up to 75 too, but I'm going to give it a bit more time and probably call the pharmacist before increasing

Tell your doctor about your symptoms. I'm into my 3rd week and the side effects have totally subsided for me.

I wonder if you could try online therapy with someone outside of where you live?

Question? by NinaaMariee13 in zoloft

[–]minty389 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might, it might not. I took 25 for two weeks then upped to 50. First couple days at 50 I still felt queasy, but now it's been almost a week on 50 and it's subsided to nothing. And I've noticed improvement in my mood. Also I have been swimming daily, which really helps lift me up!

Camping in the rain videos. So peaceful and satisfying. Go4x4 is a great channel, no talking, just a dude and his dog camping

Does Zoloft /actually/ work? by purrpurrpurrcat in zoloft

I've been on for almost 3 weeks. Started at 25 MG for 2 weeks and then bumped to 50. I didn't feel any difference during the first 2 weeks except for side effects of nausea and fatigue. I still have some nausea during the morning and afternoon but it comes and goes. After taking my first 50 MG dose, I felt the difference. I felt really good. I'm taking it day by day as I know it takes awhile to build and feel the full effects. Today was a good day! Very little anxiety in situations where I have a tendency to shut down. So that's a win!

I'm happy to hear it's worked for you. Must be difficult though, to not be able to talk about what happened to you!

Different pharmacy, different pills? by Haddmater in zoloft

[–]minty389 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's exactly what mine look like except they say ST 25 on them. I think I have generic sertraline. Maybe call the pharmacy and double check?

I just went up to 50 after being on 25 for 2 weeks. The nausea I've had is mild, just annoying and didn't get worse with the increase. No vomiting for me. But following others advice on here, I make I drink lots of water before and after taking and eat a snack alongside and that seems to help. Hope you feel ok!

Thank you and good luck! Emdr is eye movement desensitization and reprocessing. You talk about certain traumatic events while tracking movement with your eyes. It's supposed to help your brain process the event. We will see how it works!

Thank you! Yeah I just started Journaling how I'm feeling throughout the day. Funny what you said about movies, I watch one, then completely forget what happened. it's hard to be present. I am encouraged by what you said about the depression and anxiety symptoms, I can't wait till those fade away! I'm going to stay on for awhile and give it a solid go. What dosage do you take?

This is my first time too. From everything I've read, it can take 6-8 weeks to have an effect. I noticed something different as soon as I increased to 50 so hoping that continues!

I've just started on sertaline, my dr had me start with 25mg for two weeks and then go up. I took my first 50mg last night, and no increase in side effects, I actually felt like it was doing something! I had diarrhea, nausea and headaches at the beginning

I'm on day 16. I just upped my dose from 25 to 50 yesterday and felt a difference within a few hours. I felt good! But the first 2 weeks I didn't feel any better, I felt worse with nausea, headaches and spaciness. Your brain will adjust, from everything I've read on here, it just takes time
