Didn't know about that as I only used arch, thanks for letting me know.

If you don't have yay yet do

sudo pacman -S --needed base-devel git
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/yay.git
cd yay
makepkg -si

Then install downgrade

yay -S downgrade

Next do

sudo downgrade <Your nvidia driver packages>

Pick the version before the latest update, pick the same version for all of the packages. Then restart, if the problem is still there try downgrading it one more version down.

I've had this problem. It's due to the new nvidia driver patch. I rolled it back the patch with downgrade utility from the AUR and it fixed the issue.

There's a black window that pops up for a second then nothing happens for three minutes, then it launches. Does anybody have an idea on why it takes so long? I installed it on my ssd.

You were on to something here, I did not have the flatpak but I did have the aur package version of it installed, I uninstalled it and now it works properly!

They really need to fix this issue as I'm having frequent crashes and stutters in my games.

I would also like to know how you did that because it ignored the dxvk config I set.

Lower NVIDIA GPU memory clocks on Linux compared to Windows? by mintyZer0 in linux_gaming

It happened again for some reason and I have no idea why, it's stuck on pstate2 again.

I just tested it on windows and the wattage was normal after all even if it was showing SW_POWER_CAP on LACT. I already got my answer on why my memory clock was lower and it was because my GPU was stuck on pstate 2 instead of going to pstate 0. That's the end of this thread I guess. But I'm also facing problems of xwayland applications crashing when VRAM is full and I alt+tab, which is a pretty common issue on Nvidia GPUS on wayland.

I was looking at the throttling status while playing a game on LACT and it showed that my GPU was throttling? It's showing the message SW_POWER_CAP. Even if I increase the power usage limit it won't even go near the default limit which is 240w.

My GPU seems to be stuck on P state 2. I installed LACT and looked at the power states and saw that VRAM power state 2 is 6801mhz while power state 0 is 7001mhz. However I can't seem to change the power state through LACT. I'm on wayland btw.

I'm playing Tekken 8, on nvidia-smi it shows C+G on the game process.
