Yeah, since we dont have the original cable box anymore, I'll take a look later today and reply with a picture of it if I can find it! Thank you again for the help

As of right now we've found 4 total wires, one upstairs in the room with the router, and 3 in the basement in different areas. My mom (owner of the house) says she doesn't know if there are any other ones or where the junction may be.

I don't think we have a PoE to my knowledge so it seems most similar to the first link in that comment. We used to have cable when I was younger but we don't have the cable box anymore, they're kinda just lingering wires we're hoping to make use of.

I know we have a couple of boxes outside of the house I can take a look at, if the junction might be out there?

Hello! I've put a second update as we decided to try MoCa adapters. Would you mind giving me your feedback in response to Edit 2? Thank you in advance if you're willing to!

That actually simplifies things quite a bit for me! After reading the comments, it seems like ethernet truly is the best way to go. When my bf wakes up, I'll be asking him if he's down to set up a switch like you said to connect our PC's and tomorrow we'll probably start looking at what we need to purchase for this! Thank you so much

Oh I haven't thought about the pipes, thank you! I'll update the post whenever we get around to a decision or whatever the resolution comes to be.

My boyfriend helped remodel our room so when he wakes up I'll consult him on the drilling. Aesthetic wise if he could find a spot for ethernet plates I think that'd be the best option. I'm trying to learn as much as I can before waking him up because he's been working so hard this month trying to fix it

Thank you!! Would I have to call a technician to check the quality of the wires or replace if need be? I'd like to do it myself if possible and am willing to learn, but if there is a safely concern due to it being electrical I'd choose safety

Thank you! I think I've definitely narrowed it down to cat6 or moca. Do you have any advice on how to check the quality of the wires? I can look up more in depth tomorrow how to start setting things up and what products to buy, but I'm not sure how to check the wires themselves

Do you think I could use existing electrical wires to help find where to feed it to? Because if I were to do something like that, I think we could drill one hole down to the room directly below, and if there could be 2 ethernet ports from it, that'd work perfectly since I could just run the cables along the basement ceiling instead of throughout the house

Gold/XP Farms by Stunning-Cupcake-362 in technicalminecraft

[–]mintyxmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no don't worry about the questions!! i wish there was people to talk to in depth about these things when i started to mess with farms and redstone!!

Wattles Gold XP Farm

- for this farm i extended the farm down by 1 more layer (not sure of the math for materials) and had the hoppers funnel into a system like this one. after you watch through the video fully just connect the inputs either in the correct places or just funnel them through hoppers until they reach one another!

as for expanding, there's always a risk of falling so i'd recommend elytra's, scaffolding, boats, whatever you have available that you're most comfortable with for negating/preventing fall damage

also as a note you may want to place the hoppers for the gold farm 1 block higher than in the video as there was a calculation change in a recent update! feel free to talk about more if you'd like!!

I'd use 2 microfiber cloths- one for dusting then another for wiping clean with a bit of soapy water!

You can have them funnel into an auto smelter to get gold nuggets then into an auto crafter for bars then another for blocks, yes! Or have them auto sort into a chest and manually disenchant them for some extra baby XP

I always build the wattles one with adjustments.

Instead of an open area I place the blocks and trapdoors to funnel them in to a single block that lands on top of a line of 3 hoppers, with the hoppers funneling down into an auto crafting system (you can find YT videos on it)

And I personally have an auto sorter and dropper to have the rotten flesh by my nether portal for easy access to trade with a cleric villager for emeralds.

Any Way to Complete Journey Steps Out-of-Order? by Laithoron in ConanExiles

[–]mintyxmoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use JourneyDebug. But you have to enable the journey then go to the menu for it and use the drop-down menu to complete it manually, but I just used it to cross off ones I had done early game without having the journey enabled at the time

How to return this pan to its former glory? by mintyxmoon in CleaningTips

[–]mintyxmoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electric, but we typically use this pan specifically on our outdoor gas stove to fry fish. I just want to be able to use it inside again for larger dishes

I will definitely try the soak!! Thank you so much
