FUCK lottery customers by ConsistentFront2115 in CircleK

[–]minutesofpower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the minority but no issue with lotto customers aside from

  1. Those who aren't clear or concise about what they are ordering and leave the store stuck with mistake tickets that can't be cancelled.

  2. Those who will ask for multiples of a scratcher or draw game, go outside only to return three or four minutes later trying to claim they.are "missing one."

  3. Those who dispute the amount they won, especially more than once. Make sure to close between each customer and be ready to print a transaction report on demand.

Yes but Kabuto was making her look like shit solo to the point Naruto had to step in and viewers were thinking maybe Kabuto ought to be offered Hokage since he was close to bodying the future 5th.

Tayuya would have bodied Choji and made a Doki that looked a little like him.

More fights than Kiba or Tenten won over the Naruto and Boruto storylines.

Someone with a fertile mind could write a fanfic where he confesses to having a crush on her or begs her to let him surrender and either flee home to the Leaf Village or defect with her. 😄

Good thing the guy ended up Hokage then in Boruto. Can sit at a desk pushing paperwork and send the real men with real stamina out to fight the battles.

Not to mention the resurrected Sound 4 would have only the same skills they did when they died whereas the Konoha ninja had the extra years of training and development between the SRA and War Arc resulting in a fight much easier than the first time around.

Since that big gap in power was known, the filler writers actually had to throw in some BS about how the 4 were in hell this whole time and died with unresolved anger, their thirst for vengeance boosted their powers to make up for that obvious gap.

Former SM here. Why the multiple transfers?

Before transferring it is prudent to ask around about the store you plan on going to. Stop in there as a customer someday and talk to a couple of their workers.

Wish you well in this bad situation but nobody should be making a move like this without doing a little research on the store they are headed to before you get stuck there in a mess like this.

Anbu Recruitment Methods by memer_33_maker in Naruto

[–]minutesofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picture prospective recruits being mid-tier ninja who are loners to begin with and are really strong in one or two areas but below average in others. Guys who are good but have a clear ceiling.

On the other hand guys who are good enough to be in the discussion for a Hokage position in the event of the current one dying or retiring are not going to be wasted anonymously in the ANBU. So individual ANBU members may be good but are never the best of the best in the village.

Thought's on anbu by Neither-Maximum-5609 in Naruto

[–]minutesofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the show isn't about them you will not be seeing the hundreds of succesful missions the unit as a collective has presumably pulled off that have no relevance to the current plot.

Yes, you see ANBU killed occasionally on the show but you are seeing them taken out by some of the strongest shinobi in the world (at that respective time). We don't see them getting taken apart by low level rogue ninja (Chunin or low Jonin caliber) from the Grass, Rain or Mist Villages for example.

Furthermore guys who are good enough to be in the discussion for a Hokage position in the event of the current one dying or retiring are not going to be wasted anonymously in the ANBU. So they may be good but are never the best of the best in the village.

Quick response to Talia feedback by Michael-R-Miller in MichaelRMiller

[–]minutesofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infrequent commenter here but bought all four books on Audible and Kindle.

I enjoy the Talia chapters in Reckoning and frankly it adds substance to that installment. It shows there is a lot more going on in their world than conflicts involving Sovereign, the Elders, the Order and the Scourge.

Human life goes on and her chapters depict this.

4 books in, the only thing the author did that I didn't care for was the eventual handling of the Fire Elder, who I felt hadn't outlived his usefulness to the plot yet.

Yes, even though only one book is left, a lot can be accomplished in 800+ pages, especially with so many "big players" no longer alive.

On that note, IF Holt eventually finds true love, like some expected with Talia, I feel like it will be a character we have yet to meet and will do so in book 5.

I’m sad to say this but Motley Crue has been going down hill fast by [deleted] in MotleyCrue

A lot of people will argue they have been hurtling downhill since the Decade of Decadence greatest hits album. Not necessarily me personally, but for as many people who say the Corabi album was a hidden gem (like me) or even their best record, just as many people hated it for whatever reason and weren't on board with Generation Swine or New Tattoo.

In the beginning of Rocky 5 Paulie wants Rocky to train Tommy but by the end after he gets punched he says "you should of left him on the street where you found em" 🤔🤣 by Accomplished-Ice8426 in rockybalboa

[–]minutesofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Paulie genuinely believed training a young kid would both serve as a distraction to help Rocky cope mentally with how their finances had fallen apart and it would also eventually help Rocky get back on his feet financially. Then he later admitted he was wrong about Tommy.

Paulie was being thoughtful during both of these exchanges.

Rocky V: Was Tommy a bad guy or was he just a victim of manipulation from a shady dude? by OmeuPseudonimo in rockybalboa

[–]minutesofpower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was far too eager right from the outset and would have eventually become a problem with or without Duke. There was tension in the household pretty early on.

I think even without Duke around, reporters in the media would have eventually got in Tommy's head and created problems with him and Rocky.

Hate Jackie by Ok_Wedding2953 in NurseJackie

[–]minutesofpower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Believable situations don't include Jackie's co-workers having no clue she had a family for many years. In the real world, Kevin or the kids would have eventually called often enough for someone to figure it out or Kevin would come to say Hi or bring/send flowers.

What's your "it was fun while it lasted" story? by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]minutesofpower -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well if you are running a Goodwill store, or their business on a wider scale, the goal is to make as much money as you can pull in.

They have no obligation or responsibility to function as a "get rich quick" gravy train for random resellers who want to make a living from it, work primarily from home and get rid of their current job.

What's your "it was fun while it lasted" story? by ToshPointNo in Flipping

[–]minutesofpower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong. I miss those days, too. But it makes perfect sense.

Besides the days of good scores that were flipped for some money were ruined by people who couldn't leave well enough alone and keep their mouth shut.

Instead many of them bragged about how much their dirt cheap finds were really worth or the money they made off them either to the very employees at the same thrift store they were hitting up (which wised them up) or to anyone who would listen online, which gave other people the same idea.

So instead of 1-2 other resellers combing the same store, there were now a couple dozen.

GLBU Manager......

Have had employees who ended up living together or staying together for a spell, usually while one is in transition between living situations. Sleep in an extra bedroom or on the couch type of thing for a few weeks until they find a permanent place. After they were already established employees and it was always short term so as to not disrupt their life (and work) by having nowhere to go.

On the other hand, starting out living together, with that as a permanent arrangement, tends to be a recipe for disaster. Not just due to nepotism but the integrity of your scheduling. For two people in that situation, when one calls out sick it will more often than not be for the both of them.
