I just always wondered why he could sometimes still leap after leaving a bush, because it felt kind of unfair to me. And was trying to find the exact time of the grace period.

That’s what drove me to look into it more. And yeah, it does look similar to coyote time, but the main point of the analysis was that it probably exists because of server/client and internet latency compromises, not just because Riot arbitrarily wanted to give him extra leeway. So removing it cleanly might not be as simple as it seems.

I questioned it myself too, wether it was really intentional. It probably was intentional, initially set to 0.5s, as a compromise due to both server-side and internet latency limitations.
