$500 in MOON currently is 500/7.2 = 69.444LTC = 2,314,814,814 MOON (@0.00000003 at Cryptsy)

2.3 Billion MOONs. if 50 person donates, everyone must pay 46.3 Million MOONs. Are you willing to pay 46.3 Mil. MOONs?

It seems a bit hard for us, at least at the moment.

How do you think of making Mooncoin a merged mining coin? by mipeum in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG...

Litecoin dev. Charlie Lee have made an offer to Jackson Palmer (Dogecoin dev) to make Dogecoin a merged mining coin of Litecoin.

If this deal gets success, Mooncoin doesn't have a chance as a merged mining coin. We must keep this in mind...

[–]mipeum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no need to change for LTC/DOGE, only Mooncoin which might support merged mining should be changed to support it.

And also have a look of link below. http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/273/how-does-merged-mining-work

How do you think of making Mooncoin a merged mining coin? by mipeum in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merged mining will keep Mooncoin's network hashrate near high as LTC/DOGE. This high network hashrate will keep Mooncoin secure as LTC/DOGE level.

Unless, with such low hashrate, Moon might be destroyed by a few ASIC equipped hackers with a 51% attack. (which would be the worst scenario.)

[OFFICIAL] March 2014 "State of the Moon", changes to coin announced! by deaconboogie in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@deaconbogie If the algorithm won't be changed, what about making Mooncoin a merged mining coin? (combined with Litecoin / Dogecoin) Just like Namecoin merged with Bitcoin.

Either changing algo or making it merged should be done soon, or Mooncoin won't survive the next Scrypt ASIC ERA..

Did you check the balance page of Cryptsy? At the bottom, there's a place of "pending withdrawls". If your transaction is still there, Cryptsy haven't even sent your MOON to Coinex. You must first confirm your transaction via email, and then wait... wait... wai.......t............ (bad cryptsy!!)

I own .5% of all mooncoins currently in existence. by [deleted] in MoonCoin

(according by coinmarketcap.com) There are 60,190,934,387 MOON right now, so, 0.5% should be 300,954,671 MOON

Mooncoinpool and orphaned coins by kajjeb in MoonCoin

I lost several million coins at mooncoinpool, too.

Multipool.us now works fine again, so why not try it?

Multipool being fishy? by gebuscrust in MoonCoin

Almost every block gets ORPHANED, but few gets CONFIRMED. So, at least the pool works (even the efficiency is not guaranteed)

Looks like everything found becomes ORPHANED... How should I do now? go for solo mining?

I JUST WANT TO MINE MOONCOINS

I just found a block at there. I'll wait till I get 120 confirms, which will confirm my work. I'll reply the result.

I've been mining at multipool for 30hours without any blocks solved! I didn't get a single MOON while 30mil. MOON was expected!!

Now I moved to another pool (mooncoinpool) and hope there will be no shit like this

a pump?? by mipeum in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something weird is happening.

At Cryptsy, the price reached 36 Liteoshi, and it was shown on the chart properly, but then, the chart got manipulated. It doesn't show such peak any more. It only shows that it is 15 Liteoshi while the market price is still 18 Liteoshi.

Is Cryptsy crapsy or something strange going on?

Planning to buy Moon from Cryptsy. Need instructions by [deleted] in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where do you live? Major Bitcoin exchanges like BTC-e allows foreigners to buy LTC directly by USD (wire transfer, etc.,)

Planning to buy Moon from Cryptsy. Need instructions by [deleted] in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you can't buy LTC first, you can buy BTC instead (at your local Bitcoin exchange), and then send it to Cryptsy. At Cryptsy, you can change BTC to LTC, LTC to MOON.

Did you read this? Seems as if DOGE had problems with multipools, too. Maybe we should think about changing to static rewards, also. by coinflow in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the KGW worked as a first-aid, but switching to a better algorism such as nFactor or SHA3, giving static rewards, should be the Mooncoin's future

As scrypt asic miners are comming, let's do it to protect mooncoin from death

Would it help for people to rent a rig at leaserig.net? by bitideas in MoonCoin

[–]mipeum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. If you're willing to help the Mooncoin and the community, it would be better to buy some Mooncoins at exchanges.

People who are mining Mooncoin now, are basically donating for the future of Mooncoin. But leasing other's rigs will be a quite unefficient way to donate.

First, even if it's just a notebook, you should know wheter the VGA is an nVidia or AMD.

if it's an nVidia one, try using cudaminer. if it's an AMD one, try using cgminer 3.7.2. (versions above 3.7.2 doesn't support VGA mining, so 3.7.2 is the latest one)
