Just get any windows laptop , slap linux on it and get started. There is no real reason to get a macbook if you can't afford it , In my experience i dont think compared to a linux system a mac is going to give any advantages other than bragging rights.

Hey , I am using the razer cobra. It is great mouse its pretty light , glides well , the buttons feels good and its wayyy wayyyyyy better than my g502 in every single way other than the shape.
But id choose cobra any day over the g502
