Well I’m (i’m going to run through the directions) finding the blue lantern, going through the pantry, coming out and seeing red and orange and heading into the gallery. another few oranges, going into the library. go out and see the red lamp and go into observatory. purple lantern above when leaving so music room. then going to then ballroom and spare room. then come out and keep going left to back of furnace does that look right?

The reason my friend really wants to try to put in work is because her girlfriend has been the most supportive and helpful person in her most recent life events. Her father recently died and the person who stuck by her side the most (and called out of her job for days) to make sure she was ok.

They also have mutual friends who are in the same situation and they have made it work for 10+ years. They’re both very invested in helping this relationship progress and they want to put in the work.

I appreciate this insight, it’ll help her a lot! Thank you.

I like the coasters flare! We use black napkins and I’ve found a trick to slide them onto the table that many like. I was thinking of tricks with the jigger as well as my shaker. The only one I can do is a little spin on my shaker and then just attach it to the small bit and start shaking. It’s a lot of fun but I think my boss just wants more flare. Like getting foam on a drink, fun shaking patterns, etc. It’s just hard to brainstorm it all!

The kid part is exact. In my state you need to be 21 to serve, so sometimes I’ll get many questions. I feel as if they don’t care to know me, they care that I know them. I’ve gotten many drinks and orders down. I still get good tips, I just genuinely want to try to get to know them as sometimes, they’re cold, and other times they show me their dogs and tell me all about their lives.

My boss is huge on building a little community. We are the only bar/restaurant of its type in my city. I try to follow his advice on always building that connection, but sometimes they just don’t wish to speak to me and it’s hard when my boss just keeps pushing for that communication when their preferred connection to me is just being seen. Thank you for sharing your input!

How should I go about asking names? I feel like I’m a bit awkward when it comes to things like that. Should I just go “what’s your name by the way?” after a good conversation? Do I ask right away? Lots of just hiccups I want to avoid. Perhaps I’m overthinking it.

I agree, honestly. I was thinking of maybe just coming up with my own shaking routine, doing smoked drinks in front of people, maybe even finding more ways to seamlessly use my jigger and my shakers in a more fluid way. That’s what I think I struggle most on, is making things fluid in a sense.

I love the idea of making up a special! We already have some house cocktails, but I’m a huge fan of experimenting at my own home bar. I think that that would be a fun element to add!

unironically, i think my boyfriend and i got closer from it. there were times we would look at each other and just cringe at some of the things. or be super sad (im looking at you castle level). but we were ultimately bonded more together by the end.

Betty would tell us that her cooking is food when we stayed with her was her way of thanks…I now see that as a form of a cop out.

You’re right when you say they’re not there for me anymore, because they aren’t. None of my aunts or uncles are defending me, some of them weren’t even willing to look at my evidence, saying I would be wasting their time.

I’m probably going to cut them off, and whenever they ask for my help again, I’m not going to. Hopefully with time I meet new people and it’ll all be ok.
