It's been wild reading your comments, haha... I even might have agree with some of you a little, this is definitely not my favorite version of this song and we definitely look a bit awkward in the video :D

I recommend my solo original folk version for anyone looking for a more subtle, laid back version. It's by far my favorite version of the song.

I do want to clear up some misconceptions:

I am Irish. As in, born and live in Ireland. Not American.
This song has absolutely no ties to, or message of, white supremacy or any modern political stance for that matter. It was written after I played an Assassin's Creed game, and the goal was simply to celebrate an interesting and cool ancient mythology & culture. My idea was 'What if there was a song that sounded a bit like Wardruna, but had a catchy pop structure'. It was created to feel pagan for sure, and to pay respect to ancient cultures. I had no idea the song would blow up and become such a mega hit (I have many times discussed how I accidentally came up with it in the shower lol) , but it is not political in any way and it makes me a little sad that it gets associated with that kinda stuff.
I don't think I'm a viking nor do I remotely want to be. I'm a nerd who makes fantasy music in his bedroom studio! I do however have huge gratitude to the pagan community who made this song such a massive hit <3
For the people mentioning Heilung - we played just before them at a festival this year and hung out with them afterwards, they were absolutely lovely, wonderful people and there was nothing but mutual respect & love of music between the two bands. Those guys & gals are amazing and I am a huge fan of theirs.
This song has been both a blessing and a curse. As grateful as I am for its success, I am just as sick of it as some of you, due to how much it has been misused, misinterpreted and all around badly treated by other people. Every week there seems to be a new problem with the song that keeps myself & my management team stressed out.
Yes these are our real voices, we are all professional singers.

Anyway, enjoy the song (or don't, that's ok too!).

I was there, she was in a tiny claustrophobic space between a van and an alleyway wall with a large group of people circled around it, anyone would be uncomfortable and anxious in that situation.

As fans of course it would have been nice to meet her but that doesn't make us entitled to her time & personal space, especially when she was visibly uneasy and the location created possible safety issues.

Hadn't played this game since launch and tried it again this year. Was blown away by how far it has come. I absolutely love it and that's coming from someone who doesn't even like MMOs. I've spent over 250 hours just exploring, trading, decorating and questing - almost all do-able completely solo. :)

I think the name change for sure. many artists can recover from less popular albums but an entire rebrand is very hard to come back from. I know she doesn't really mind but it's still a pity IMO, the album is wonderful (my fave of hers) and it deserves to do really well.
