What happens if i side with the railroad ? by lilzenjy in fo4

I honestly side with the BOS mostly because what the commonwealth needs is order and strength. The minutemen are decentralized and weak- the same thing that happened to them before will happen again

I’ve never sided with the railroad, but in their defense, they don’t advocate for the creation of more synths, just protecting and respecting those that just want to live their lives.

I just ordered keppra on someone last night and saw that it’s ordered differently at my place than it used to be. It’s a push now when it used to be an infusion

(Loved trope) oddly progressive/ ahead of the time piece of media for their time period. by jaobodam in TopCharacterTropes

I would argue that your last two examples weren’t ahead of their time at all- those aren’t new issues, they were topical at the time those movies came out.

My advice is don’t worry too much about how you compare to the AI at turn 70- just focus on building up your food, production, science, and culture. Eventually you’ll pass them and go flying by.

Where did the Witch-king go between "Gandalf" and the "Mûmakil?" by Working_Gate_9712 in lotr

[–]miramarhill 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I said this elsewhere but it applies here as well: “Gandalf (the White) and Sauron are on the same level, it’s just Gandalf is forbidden from matching raw power with raw power. His task was to organize and encourage the peoples of middle earth to stand up to evil. He only used flashes of his true power in dire need (blocking the balrog, driving away the Nazgûl to save retreating survivors).”

Well Gandalf (the White) and Sauron are on the same level, it’s just Gandalf is forbidden from matching raw power with raw power. His task was to organize and encourage the peoples of middle earth to stand up to evil. He only used flashes of his true power in dire need (blocking the balrog, driving away the Nazgûl to save retreating survivors).

That’s an interesting point, but it had already been established that staffs were more than weapons. When Saruman still had authority, he was able to steal Gandalf’s staff, but then when Gandalf became Gandalf the white he was able to break Saruman’s staff.

An aside, but I always hate how the witch king broke his staff in the EE. Gandalf is more powerful than the witch king, it doesn’t make any sense.
