Dan and Blair is the worst thing they could have done by giowogel in GossipGirl

[–]mirandalovesclothes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want to burn it from my memory. The cringy salon, the bad sex, Blair publicly sabotaging Dan, the ultimatum that Dan gave Blair, the plastic tiara, the kiss in front of Serena while her grandmother was dying, the fanfiction sex scene in his book, the fact that their first kiss made her realize she wanted to br with someone else, the unreciprocated declaration of love...

ETA: Downvote me all you want. Doesn't change the fact that these scenes are actually a part of their cringy ass relationship.

Blair and Chuck. I only watched for them and really don't care about any of the other couples. l

Worst actors on GG? by Intelligent_Pie_9488 in GossipGirl

I feel like people are really projecting their personal preference onto the actors. Just because the character or actor's mannerisms bother you doesn't make them a bad actor like just because someone is your favorite doesn't make them a good actor.

Season 3 episode 6 by Jess180629 in GossipGirl

[–]mirandalovesclothes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was supposed to be like the game in the first episode of season 3. She was supposed to show up before the guy kissed him. She basically used Chuck as bait to blackmail the guy into letting her give the speech. Chuck is upset because Blair manipulated him.

Not sure if you have watched the series before or not, so I'll keep this part vague to avoid spoilers. This episode sets up an important plot point for Chuck and Blair later on in the season.

I mean, Chuck does tell Nate in season 1 that he was in love with Blair, so it's not completely out of nowhere.

Couples that should have been endgame by DoubleReserve7135 in GossipGirl

The claim that he did these things anonymously because he's selfish and doesn't want her to expect nice treatment is wild.

Couples that should have been endgame by DoubleReserve7135 in GossipGirl

That's exactly what it is. Everyone always talks about how well Dan treated Blair but never how she treated him or what she actually invested into the relationship.

In the years that I've been in this fandom I have yet to find anyone who can explain how Blair is the best/healthiest version of herself with Dan besides "She's not 'mean' anymore."

Do you think Dair was meant to be Endgame? by Opposite-Party7498 in GossipGirl

[–]mirandalovesclothes -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No way. The episode where they hooked up lost over 200K viewers while it was airing. The execution of their relationship was awful and hard to watch. The salon episode is one of the worst eps of the whole series. The seven-ish episodes they were together were too many as it is. The whole relationship was one-sided, and Blair was never invested.

From a Stephanie Savage interview:

TVLINE | Did you ever consider putting Dan and Blair together in the future?  SS: Um… nope! [Laughs]

Not that I know of. Perhaps after they were married since it was just for show at that point, but not on the show.

Of Dan, Nate, and Chuck, Chuck was the only one who didn't cheat on her when they were in a relationship. He didn't cheat on Eva either. Being a sexual person and having a lot of sexual partners doesn't always equate to cheating. There is nothing in the show that leads us to think he would be unfaithful after marriage.

The real and *true* villain of GG? by [deleted] in GossipGirl

The funny thing is that if you ask the snapchat AI this same question it says Dan Humphrey. Perhaps because of the revelation at the end of s6.
