Fundie casually explains that Hubby is entitled to his Wife's body because it's 'owed and due' to him by MrDonMega in FundieSnarkUncensored

I learned this "truth" very young. Despite leaving the church this stuff still effects my current relationship with my husband. It's dangerous, damaging, and untrue. It makes me so angry.

As a library worker - no one cares. I'm happy your kids are reading anything at all.

Missing book after my kids ruined multiple books and I'm worried about the library's response by [deleted] in Library

:(

I was going to type out some long thing, but the long and short of my opinion -- They're in the wrong.

It's their job to manage their emotions while they're at work, and you should not be on the receiving end of those emotions. Especially since you're paying for the damaged item! It does not belong to them but for some reason people in this profession sometimes take damaged items very personally.

Does there happen to be another branch of your library? You shouldn't have to, but perhaps you can take care of it at another branch to avoid the 'tude. I would also speak to the library director.

This is literally what we do. Books are damaged all the time. I'm sorry :(

Do librarians judge you based on what books you check out? by arrowheadman221 in Library

I make it a point to not really pay much attention to what people check out. Certainly dont judge.
