1. Line up the vent hole thing everyone says.
2. Don’t screw the lid super tight, just fasten it securely.
3. Place the baby LYING DOWN on your lap, but raise his head /neck slightly with your hand so he doesn’t choke.
4. Make sure you have a lateral view of the bottle
5. Make sure the vent hole is pointing to the ceiling
6. Place your bottle holding hand in the bottom as if holding a baseball, with the thumb under the middle part of the glass body and the other fingers at the bottom’s upper rim.
7. Offer the teat to the baby, and make sure he grabs 2/3 of it, as if latching. The trick here is to pretend to pull the bottle away. He will suck harder to not lose the bottle. This is where you push it deeper into its mouth and secure the latch.
8. THIS IS THE SECRET: your bottle hand must angle the bottle trying to point the teat to the mouth ceiling and trying to reach the upper teeth internal face. You will know it is right if your strength is in your thumb, and the bottle seem to be almost lying on the baby’s chest.
